Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum, Karnataka

B.Arch	Bachelor of Architecture	The candidates shall have secured a minimum of 50 % of marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination and 45% for SC/ST category. Along with this candidates must have the following. All candidates must have passed the NATA or any specially designed aptitude test in Architecture conducted by the Competent Authority of the Central / State Government or the JEE Main Paper-II examination conducted by CBSE. Candidates who have passed the two-year Pre-University examination conducted by the Karnataka State Pre-University Board with Mathematics as a subject of study; or Who have passed 10+2 of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) or equivalent with Mathematics as a subject of study; or Who possesses a Three-Year Diploma in Architecture or any stream of Engineering recognized by the Government of Karnataka, or any other State Government or Central Government or any other Diploma qualification considered equivalent thereto by this University. B.Sc. (Hons)	Bachelor of Science (Honors)	Those students, who have passed a qualifying examination other than the PUC II examination of the Pre-University Education Board of Karnataka or XI and XII CBSE/ICSE studied in Karnataka have to obtain an eligibility/equivalence certificate for seeking admission to 1st year B.Sc.(Honors) Degree Program, from VTU. B.Voc	Bachelor of Vocation	Candidates are required to qualify for the second PUC or any other equivalent examination with English as one of the Languages and obtain an aggregate minimum of 45% of marks, 40% for the SC/ST category. Those candidates who have passed a qualifying examination other than PUC-2, have to obtain the eligibility certificate from VTU to seek admission to this course. Candidates who have acquired the NSQF certification Level 4 (with any specialization) are eligible for admission to the first year of B.Voc, provided that the specialization certification Level 4 is the same as the B.Voc specialization. VTU PG Courses

Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) postgraduate courses with a wide array of specializations to choose from like Technology, Computer Applications, Management, Marketing, Engineering, Architecture, Human Resource Management, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Entrepreneurship, and more. A list of the PG courses offered at VTU is given in the table below.

M.Tech	Digital Electronics & Communication System Computer Science & Engineering Information & Communication Technology Nano-Technology Textile Technology	Admission to the M.Tech program shall be open to all the candidates who have passed B.E./ B. Tech. Examinations of VTU or any other recognized University/ Institution, with at least 50% of the marks in aggregate, and 45% of marks for the SC/ST category. The candidates should be GATE qualified or should have appeared for the Entrance Examination conducted by an authority recognized by the Government of Karnataka (PGCET)/VTU. The candidates, who are qualified in the GATE Examination for the appropriate branch of engineering, shall be given priority. They are exempted from the taking Entrance Examination.
M.Arch	Master of Architecture	Admission to the Master of Architecture Program shall be open to all the candidates who have passed B.Arch. (as per the eligibility criteria specified from time to time) of COA, VTU, or any other recognized University / Institution. Candidates are required to at least 50% of the marks in aggregate and 45% for the SC/ST category. Candidates holding the degree awarded by Associate of the Indian Institute of Architects (AIIA) shall also be considered for M.Arch., programs. The candidates should be GATE (Architecture) qualified or should have appeared for the Entrance Examination conducted by an authority recognized by the Government of Karnataka / VTU/ any other University on approval by the Government of Karnataka. The candidates, who are qualified in the GATE(Architecture) Examination shall be given priority. They shall be exempted from taking Postgraduate Entrance Examination (PGCET).
MBA	Master of Business Administration	Admission to the MBA program shall be open to candidates who have a Bachelor's degree of a minimum of three years or an equivalent examination and have obtained an aggregate mark of 50%, and 45% of marks for the SC/ST/Category-1 of Karnataka candidates. Candidates need to appear for the entrance examinations conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) which are PGCET, and Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT), or appear and qualify under any approved entrance examination conducted by the authority recognized by the Government of Karnataka/VTU /the any other University of Karnataka state.
MBA	Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Venture Development (IEV)	The admission process shall be conducted by VTU, and it shall be as per the norms of the KEA. The merit list for admission shall be prepared by the University on the basis of combined scores for the following weightage. Graduation Marks - 40% Case Study - 20% Personal Interview - 30% Work Experience - 10%
MBA	Business Analytics	Admission to the MBA Program shall be open to the candidates who have passed in Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent examination from a recognized University.
MBA	Human Resource Management (HRM) Marketing Management (MM) Financial Management (FM)	Admission to the MBA Program shall be open to the candidates who have passed in Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent examination from a recognized University.
MCA	Master of Computer Applications	Candidates must have a BCA or a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering or an equivalent degree or Passed B.Sc./ B.Com./ B.A. with Mathematics at 10+2 level or at Graduation Level. Candidates should have obtained at least 50% of marks aggregate, and 45% of marks for the SC/ST category. Candidates are required to appear for the PGCET, and KMAT entrance examinations, or appear and qualify under any approved entrance examination conducted by the authority recognized by the Government of Karnataka/VTU /any other University of Karnataka state.
MCA	Artificial Intelligence and Data Science	Candidate should have passed BCA / Bachelor Degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent Degree, OR Passed B.Sc. / B.Com. / B.A. with Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Applications at 10+2 level.
MCA	Cyber Security and Cloud Computing	Candidate should have passed BCA / Bachelor Degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent Degree, OR Passed B.Sc. / B.Com. / B.A. with Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Applications at 10+2 level.

VTU PG Diploma Course

VTU has a Post Graduate Diploma in Health Care Management (PGDHCM). This is offered by the colleges affiliated with VTU. PGDHCM is a one-year course with two semesters. The candidates will be allowed a maximum of two years, four semesters of duration to be eligible for the completion of the course. If the candidate does not complete the course in the given time then they have to register again as a fresh candidate.

For admission to this course, candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree of minimum three years of duration from a recognized institution. OR

VTU Online Courses

Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) offers admission to its online degree courses as well. It offers different online undergraduate, postgraduate, and PG Diploma programs across all the major disciplines. The courses are degree-oriented and virtual. Candidates will given e-content, semestrial exams, and earn a degree online. Each program is structured and designed to provide comprehensive learning. Candidates who have passed their 10+2, and have passed graduation to pursue any postgraduate degree program.

PG Diploma	Investment Management, Risk Management, Financial Management, and Retail Management	Admission to the PGD Program shall be open to candidates who have passed in Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent examination from a recognized University.

VTU Ph.D. and Research Courses

Visvesvaraya Technological University offers research programs called the Ph.D. degree, followed by a specialization. VTU also offers an Integrated full-time Ph.D. program, M.Tech/M.Sc.(Engg.) with a Ph.D., that shall be for a minimum duration of five years. The regular Ph.D. program shall be for a minimum duration of three years, and for a maximum duration of six years from the date of admission. The Eligibility Criteria for the Ph.D. programs are given below.

Faculty of Engineering	The candidates must have a Master's Degree in Engineering/Technology or an equivalent Degree or M.S. (Research) Degree from the university or any other recognized university, with a minimum CGPA of 6.75 out of 10 or 60% aggregate marks at either the Bachelor's or Master's degree. Candidates pursuing an M.Sc (Engg.)by Research Degree at the University and those pursuing the M.Tech Degree, with a minimum CGPA of 7.75 out of 10 or 70% aggregate marks shall be eligible for the Ph.D. Integrated Degree program.
Faculty of Management	The candidates shall possess a PG degree in MBA or an equivalent degree from a recognized University with a minimum CGPA of 6.75 out of 10 or 60% aggregate marks at either the Bachelor's or Master's degree.
Faculty of Applied Science	The candidates must have an M.Sc. degree in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Geology or MCA, with a minimum CGPA of 6.75 out of 10 or 60% aggregate marks at either the Bachelor's or Master's degree.
Faculty of Architecture	Candidates must have a Master's degree in Architecture or any other allied specialization, with a minimum CGPA of 6.75 out of 10 or 60% aggregate marks at either the Bachelor's or Master's degree. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Architecture or an equivalent degree recognized by the university, with 10 years of experience in Teaching/ Research/ Professional Practice in Architecture shall also be eligible for admission.
