SRM University Chennai (SRM Institute of Science and Technology), Chennai, Tamil Nadu

SRM University Chennai offers multiple courses to students in various disciplines including engineering and technology, management, law, nursing, commerce, etc.. It accepts valid scores of different competitive exams while granting admission to students. For B Tech, SRMJEE (UG) is accepted, for B. Arch, NATA is accepted, and for M. Tech, SRMJEE (PG) is accepted. SRM University grants admission to students online.

SRM University is good for education and entertainment and we have a lot of events we can participate in every event.

Admission: For admission, we have to attempt an exam which was conducted by SRMIST in which we have to get qualified for the required marks we will get a mail for counseling.

It is an Average campus, good curriculum, good teachers, not much functions, average canteen, Below average h.o.d’s.

Placement: Seniors are getting good placements from companies like amazon, flipkart , microsoft. Mass recruiters are infosys,TCS , Wipro etc

Faculty: Many teacher are helpful here. DR Mageshwari (Ph.D) is my favorite teacher and she teaches maths. She knows her subject extremely well and is very helpful too. Her marking is also fair.

Quality of the students as well as of faculties are very poor. Passing the exam is nothing here teachers will take care of that. Just enjoy the campus life and get a degree at the end.

Placement: I was looking for teaching job. There are no placements for that.

Faculty: No one. Because I didn’t find anyone helpful for me.

Placement: Seniors has said that there is no placement.

Faculty: Teachers are not cooperative and they are very strict plus one of my friend who was a boy got a backlog because my teachers saw him sitting with me in bus and that was a injustice. You will never feel it’s a college you will feel like school.

Placement: They are quite good.. depends on the student.. google microsoft... diamler mahindra... and other big IT firms come in

Faculty: He was ex russian airforce man who taught in germany ... came over to our college... the understanding and depth of knowledge in the field propulsion always enthralled us.. he would give amazing example amd practical exposure

Can I leave SRM after 1st year?

You can quit at any time you want that is not an issue provided you have to loose money, most probably you need to pay one year complete tution fee and what ever you have already paid till now is not going to be refunded at any cost.
