Kalinga Institute of industrial technology is a deemed to be a university in the year 2004 and was established in the year 1992. KIIT is a 700 acres campus, which is accredited by national assessment and accreditation council with an ‘A’ grade. And was ranked 51 among the engineering colleges by National Institutional ranking framework in 2018. The university main motto is to bring a type of education that liberates. The institute is located in Bhubaneshwar, Orissa.
The main mission of the institute is to create leadership qualities with futuristic vision and encouraging and promoting creative activities, broad thinking and innovative management of tasks without any barrier of nationality, language, cultural plurality, and religion.

KIIT Admissions 2024
Eligibility- for undergraduate programs students must complete their 10+2 from a recognized board and clear the entrance exam by the university, for post-graduation programs candidate must complete their 10+2 with a recognized board and bachelor’s degree with a recognized university. Age of the candidate will be considered for both UG and PG courses.
A personal interview will also be conducted with a panel of faculty members.
Application for admissions are available online as well as offline through the website, it can be transferred through a post/ courier with required certification and credentials.

KIIT Campus is spread over 25 sq. km. of land. It accommodates 20 sprawling wi-fi campuses with a 7.5 million sq. ft. built-up area. KIIT offers numerous facilities like a library, hostel, cafeteria, gym, ATM, sports facilities, etc. The facilities offered by KIIT University have been briefly mentioned below:
- Library: KIIT has a huge library that is spread across 6 floors offering books and materials on different subjects. The library has 13,63,885 Books, 571 Print Journals, 16,806 Bound Volumes, 2982 Rare Books, and other resources. KIIT also has a digital library having 1,69,470 E-Books and 43,193 E-Journals.
- Sports Facilities: KIIT is very supportive to students when it comes to sports. The institute organizes various sports events. KIIT is the only educational institute with All India Chess Federation (AICF) membership. KIIT has won the Sportstar Award, Biju Patnaik Award, Rashtriya Khel Protsahan Puruskar 2022, and FICCI India Sports. The institute has 18 sports complexes with swimming pools.
- Hostel: KIIT offers accommodation facilities for boys and girls separately. There are 30% AC rooms available in KIIT Hostels. Each hostel has a reading room, dining hall, indoor sports facility, internet connectivity, and other facilities.
- Cafeteria: KIIT has 15 food courts in addition to 20 canteens attached to hostels. The cafeterias serve Odia, South Indian, Chinese, and Continental dishes. The students can also purchase snacks, ice cream, and beverages.

Placement: Kiit provide good placement. almost all student get placed in kiit. Kiit has highest salary of 63lpa and average 8.5 lpa.
Admission: I prepared for jee main exam. I had done coaching from allen bbsr. I solved module books and some previous year books.
