IPU Delhi Overview
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), also known as IPU, is a public university, founded in 1998 in Delhi, the National Capital Territory. The Lt. Governor of the NCT Delhi currently serves as the Chancellor of IPU Delhi.
IPU Delhi has 100 affiliated colleges, including 76 self-financed and 24 owned and managed by the Government. The university has UGC recognition. GSSIPU courses include 80 UG, PG, and doctoral programs in various fields, including engineering, mass communication, commerce, hospitality and tourism, business management studies, etc.
One of Delhi’s most prestigious universities, IP University alumni include Tapsee Pannu, Sidhant Gupta, and DR Shakti Nagpal. The GGSIPU placement cell is effective and well-run, to connect job seekers with employers. During the placement drive, top companies visit the campus. Employers like Oracle, Facebook, Google, and Microsoft offer internships and jobs to top university students. The highest CTC was INR 32 LPA. 94% or so of the students are hired.

- Suitable placement packages are offered to the students from the big brand companies.
- The companies like British Telecom, Infosys, IBM, TATA, Bosch, Intel, Syntel, Larsen and Toubro, etc. hire students to form the campus.

The average CTC for BTech students was INR 10 LPA. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the USICT Training & Placement Cell organized online placement drives for the students and attracted several major corporations, including Amazon, Adobe, Thorogood, Cvent, TCS, Indiamart, Cognizant, NewGen, Omnipresent, PSIT, and VectoScalar, among others. - IP University provides facilities for indoor and outdoor games to engage the students in sports activities.

Placement: The University provides placement and internships in some fields for example in sales marketing and rarely in finance which sometimes creates a problem as the students cannot get their respective jobs.
