The admission procedure of Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management is conducted through online mode. Besides, the admission to various courses offered by the university is done based on candidates’ performance in the entrance examination held by the university itself. The university conducts GAT i.e. GITAM Admission Test which is a computer based online test conducted across various major cities in the country. Candidates qualifying GITAM Admission Test are provided admissions to GITAM Institute of Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam campuses while admission to the other institutes of the university is done through entrance examinations conducted by respective institutes such as GSAT conducted by GITAM Institute of Science, GLAT conducted for GITAM School of Law. Apart from this, candidates with valid scores in the national level entrance examinations such as JEE Main, NATA are also considered eligible for admission to the courses offered by the university.

Admission to B. Tech, B. Pharm, and B. Arch at GITAM University

GITAM University offers B. Tech, B. Pharm, and B. Arch programs at the undergraduate level. These programs are offered in the field of Engineering and Technology, Pharmacy, and Architecture. Besides, the programs are offered under several specializations thus creating a pool of options for students to choose from.

• The basic eligibility for admission to these program is to have passed 12^th class securing at least 60% marks in aggregate (securing 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Biology/Chemistry) from a recognized board.
• Candidates are shortlisted based on their performance in GITAM Admission Test i.e. GITAM GAT. Candidates with a valid score in NATA or JEE Main will be considered eligible for admission to the B. Arch program offered by the university.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Candidates seeking admission to the B. Tech program must have passed senior secondary school with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/ Biology securing at least 60% marks in aggregate.
• For admission to B. Pharm, candidates must have passed senior secondary school in Science stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/ Mathematics securing at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized board.
• Candidates seeking admission to B. Arch must have passed 12^th class with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics securing at least 50% marks in aggregate.

Selection Procedure

The university conducted GITAM Admission Test based on which candidates are provided admissions to B. Tech, B. Pharm, and B. Arch. The marks obtained by candidates and ranked secured by them in the examination are announced within 10 days after the examination is conducted. The brilliant students of Karnataka state have 25% of the total seats reserved for them for admission to the Bangalore campus of the university.

Application Procedure of GITAM Admission Test

The application procedure of GITAM Admission Test can be completed in three below mentioned ways:

• Online – Candidates can apply for GITAM Admission Test by visiting the official website of the university. They must ensure processing the payment of application fee through any of the online payment modes such as debit card, credit card, or net banking.
• By Post – Candidates can obtain the application form of GITAM GAT from Director Admission by sending a request. They must ensure they provide correct name and a complete email id on a plain paper. A demand draft of INR 150 must be drawn in favor of ‘GITAM University’ payable at Visakhapatnam.
• Designed Banks – Interested candidates can also obtain the application form for GITAM GAT at the designated bank branches i.e. Union Bank of India, Indian Bank, and Karur Vysya Bank.

Candidates must fill the application form correctly as any incorrect information in their application form will lead to cancelation of their candidature and would even refrain them from taking the examination.

Admission to MBBS, B. Sc Nursing, BCA, and B. Com at GITAM University

GITAM University Courses include various programs at the undergraduate level. These programs are offered under several specializations and in various fields such as Science, Administration, Computer Applications, Medical Sciences, Nursing, and Legal Studies.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission to Undergraduate Programs

• Candidates seeking admission to BCA must have passed class 12^th.
• For admission to BBA and B. Com, candidates must have passed class 12^th securing at least 50% marks in aggregate.
• For admission to BEM, candidates must have passed intermediate or equivalent approved by GITAM.
• Candidates seeking admission to B. Sc must have passed senior secondary school securing at least 50% marks in aggregate in the relevant field from a recognized board.
• For admission to LL. B, candidates must have secured 50% marks (45% in case of SC/ST/PwD) in aggregate in senior secondary school from a recognized board.
• Candidates seeking admission to BA must have passed senior secondary school securing at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized board.
• Candidates seeking admission to MBBS must have passed class 12^th with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as main subjects securing at least 50% marks in aggregate.

Admission Procedure

• For admission to BBA program, candidates are required to qualify GIM Online Test/ UGAT or GITAM Admission Test.
• For admission to BCA, B. Sc. and BEM programs, candidates are required to appear in and qualify GSAT.
• For those seeking admission to LL. B program merit in the entrance examination test is released by the university.
• Candidates seeking admission to MBBS are shortlisted based on their performance in NEET Exam conducted by CBSE Board.

Application Form of GSAT

Candidates willing to take GSAT Exam can download GSAT Application form by visiting the official website of GITAM. Candidates must fill the application form and submit it online after processing the payment of the application fee.

• Candidates going for offline procedure of application can obtain the application form by post by sending a demand draft of INR 350 drawn in favor of ‘GITAM University’ payable at Visakhapatnam.

Admission to Integrated Programs at GITAM University

GITAM University offers various integrated programs under several specializations. These courses are offered in the field of Engineering and Technology, Science, and Legal Studies.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates seeking admission to B. Tech + M. Tech must have passed 12^th class exams from a recognized board in the academic year 2019 or 2020. Candidates must have secured at least 60% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
• For admission to B. Sc + M. Sc, candidates must have passed intermediate or any equivalent examination approved by GITAM University with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Biology.
• Those seeking admission to BA LL. B must have passed senior secondary school securing at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% marks in case of SC/ ST or PwD categories).

• For admission to the integrated B. Tech + M. Tech program, candidates are required to qualify GAT (UGTP) examination conducted by the university.
• Candidates seeking admission to the integrated B. Sc. + M. Sc program must have qualified GSAT.
• Admission to the integrated BA LL. B or BBA LL. B program is done based on candidates’ performance in the entrance examination conducted by the university.

Admission to M. Tech and M. Pharm at GITAM University

GITAM University offers M. Tech and M. Pharm programs at the postgraduate level in the field of Engineering and Technology and Pharmacy respectively. M. Tech program is offered in 16 different specializations while M. Pharm under 4.

GITAM University offers MBA and MCA programs at the postgraduate level. These programs are offered under various specializations in the field of Business Administration and Computer Application.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates seeking admission to MBA must possess a bachelor’s degree securing at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized university.
• Candidates seeking admission to MCA must have passed any degree securing at least 50% marks and Mathematics/ Statistics at senior secondary level or degree level from a recognized university.

Admission Procedure

• Candidates seeking admission to MBA program must have qualified national level MBA entrance examination such as CAT/XAT/MAT/GMAT/CMAT.
