Chitkara University, Chandigarh Admission
Admission to the programs at Chitkara University undergraduate or postgraduate level depends on the student’s merit as well as his/her performance on the entrance test. For undergraduate admission, the percentage of the marks scored in the Class 12 examination is important. The students who wish to be admitted in the undergraduate courses including BA and BBA are finally chosen by the entrance exam and 12th standard marks. For the BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts) and B. Des (Bachelor of Design) programs, the cut-off includes entrance examination scores of UCEED and SAT, etc. Likewise, for B. Arch (Bachelor of Architecture), admissions are done through the merit of NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture). Chitkara University also accepts SAT scores for any other domestic course intakes for undergraduates.
The selection of students in postgraduate programs differs according to the program of study being pursued. Chitkara University while selecting candidates for MBA programs accepts scores of popular entrance examinations like CAT, XAT, MAT, and SAT. For the ME (Master of Engineering) program the GATE scores are compulsory. Apart from the entrance examination Chitkara University also gives interviews to the students who are seeking admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses and Doctoral courses in the university. For admission purposes, there are certain standard-format admission forms available at Chitkara University, which have to be filled out by the candidates. This form is a web-based form and it can also be a paper and pen form according to the applicant’s choice. The desirable traits and attributes include meeting the basic admission requirements of the university that determine the eligibility of a candidate for admission in any given program.

BDes | 3 years | Minimum 50% aggregate in 10 + 2 in any stream |
BE | 3 years | 10+2 with a minimum of 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/ 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and JEE Main scores |
BPharm | 3 years | Minimum 50% aggregate, with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Maths as compulsory subjects in 10 + 2 and personal interview. |
Following is the information for the postgraduate courses and their eligibility criteria:

Chitkara University offers a plethora of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate courses to students in multiple disciplines, opening gates to various opportunities for them. The admission criteria of the university for the courses it offers include the following steps mentioned below -
- Candidates willing to take admission to Chitkara University must visit the official website of the university and download its admission form.
- Candidates need to fill out the admission form and attach the necessary documents and certificates.
- Once the admission form is filled, candidates are required to send the same to the Chief Admissions Officer of the university.
- Now, the verification of documents will take place by the admission department of Chitkara University.
- Once documents are verified, the relationship manager of the university will assist you further.
- The counselling process of the students whose documents have been verified will begin and candidates need to present themselves before the counseling committee.
- Seats in the various programs will be assigned based on the student’s merit ranking in the specified entrance test, subject to meeting the minimum eligibility criteria for the program and the preferences indicated in the counseling form at the time of counseling (depending on seat availability).
- Candidates are then required to make the payment of fees and confirm their seats for the particular course.
