Central University of Jammu, Jammu Admission
Central University of Jammu Latest Updates:
- CUET UG 2024 examination dates have been released by NTA. It will be conducted between May 15 to May 31, 2024.
- CUET PG 2024 examination dates have also been released. It is scheduled to be held from March 11 to March 28, 2024. The application form has been released and the last date to apply is on January 31, 2024.
- CAT's official answer key was released on December 5, 2023. The CAT 2024 results were released on December 21, 2023.
The Central University of Jammu (CUJ) came into existence in 2011, it was established under the Central Universities Act, 2009. The Jammu Central University offers various Undergraduate/Postgraduate/Ph.D./Diploma/Certification courses through its university Departments and Centers. . Central University Jammu incorporates an inclusive and pluralistic institution of higher learning. The faculty and students as a collective community are committed to discovering and sharing knowledge, as well as addressing the challenges that our world is facing.
At the Central University of Jammu, admissions for the academic year 2023-24 for all courses shall be made based on merit through the Central Universities Entrance Test (CUET). In some programs, the university might conduct their Entrance Test after approval. For the B.Tech programs, the university accepts JEE Mains scores. For MBA along with the CUET scores the university also accepts CAT and MAT scores as well. Candidates can apply for CUET UG and PG programs - 2023 through the “Online” mode only. The Application Form in any other mode will not be accepted.

Central University of Jammu (CUJ) Admission Criteria
The Central University of Jammu offers various UG and PG programs in the fields of Arts, Commerce, Science, Education, Mass Communication, Social Work, and more. The admission process involves the following.
- The selected candidates shall be required to produce, original documents for verification at the time of reporting or on the last date prescribed for completion of admission.
- In the case of a candidate who is already in employment, require a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the employer mentioning that the employer has no objection to the candidate's admission at the Central University of Jammu.
- In case of a gap between the qualifying examination and the year seeking admission for more than one year, the candidate shall be required to submit an undertaking indicating the reasons for such gaps and the activities they were engaged in during this period.
- Candidates whose results of the qualifying examination are clear in all aspects on the last date prescribed for admission will only be considered by the university for admission.
- Candidates will be required to submit their original Migration Certificate within the prescribed time frame otherwise their admission shall stand cancelled.
- A candidate shall be considered for admission to a program and be eligible to be a bonafide student at the university only after they have completed all the required formalities for admission including payment of the prescribed fees.
- If the candidate fails to complete the admission formalities by the prescribed date, they will automatically forfeit their admission.

Central University of Jammu (CUJ) Reservations
The Central University of Jammu follows the reservation in admission as mandated under the Central Educational Institutions Act, 2006. Category-2: students who have acquired the requisite NSQF certification Level but may like to change their sector and may enter into the B.Voc course in a different sector. Central University of Jammu (CUJ) PG Programs Admissions
The Central University of Jammu (CUJ) admission to all PG programs is based on the merit of the students achieved in the CUET examination. The candidates will not given admission if they have not taken the CUET examination. CUJ provides PG courses in various fields like Arts, Commerce, Science, Education, Management, Travel and Tourism, Social Work, and more. The Central University of Jammu offers Research Degree programs full-time and part-time in various specializations. Candidates are selected based on their performance in the entrance exam and in-person interview. Applicants must be graduates of an accredited university with a Master's Degree. The Departments conduct their own Entrance Test and Interviews. JRF/NET/SLET/SET qualified candidates shall be exempted from appearing in the entrance test.

Admission Criteria
- Candidates who want to be admitted to a Ph. From 55% to 50%, a relaxation of 5% of marks may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC candidates.
- Candidates must have a Degree equivalent to an M.Phil Degree.
- The Departments will conduct their Entrance Test for admission, and the candidates will be selected based on the Entrance Test and Interview,
- Qualifying marks for the Entrance Exam is 50% (45% in case of SC/ST and Persons with disabilities)
- GATE/UGC-CSIR NET/SLET/UGC/NET/M.phil./ or, any other national-level fellowship test-qualified students need not appear in the CUET but have to get registered through CUET.

Faculty: Teaching faculty is good as its the government university so we can simply guess how much interest is shown by the staff to teach.
It’s not like teaching is not good yes it is but not up to the mark.
