BIT Mesra provides many scholarships to students onboard based on their academic performance and financial need. All scholarships are offered to students who meet the criteria.
How to apply for BIT Mesra Scholarships?
Applications for all of the scholarships listed below will be accepted after BIT Mesra sends out a scholarship notification email to all students.
- BIT G. P. Birla Scholarship Scheme: The "BIT G. P. Birla Scholarship" program was developed to reward excellent students and ensure that they do not face financial barriers to earning a BIT degree. The scholarships will total Rs 2.10 crores per year. The eligibility for different scholarships depends upon merit, family income, JEE Rank, GATE Score, ISRE Studentsa and staff wards.
- Merit scholarships on the basis of JEE Main Rank: First-semester students admitted to various branches of BIT Mesra, Ranchi, would be eligible for this merit award based on their JEE Main rank.
- Merit-cum-means Scholarship Scheme: The scholarship amount offered to qualified students will be determined by their previous semester's accomplishment as well as their parents' total annual income. A gazetted officer not lower than the level of Circle Officer must issue the income certificate to the parents. The amount of scholarships awarded in this category will be inversely proportional to the total enrollment in each program.
- The sudden death of an earning member of the family: Students who experience financial difficulty as a result of the sudden and untimely death of the family's sole wage earner will have their tuition fees waived by the Institute for the current semester, and a scholarship of up to 75% may be available in subsequent semesters, depending on the student's financial situation, need, and overall performance in their discipline.
