WBJEE 2025 Marking Scheme

Understanding the WBJEE marking scheme will assist candidates in calculating their rank. The table below details the distribution of marks in each of the three sections of the WBJEE question paper. The WBJEE question paper is further divided into three categories. The number of questions and the distribution of marks vary by category.

There will be three types of questions on the WBJEE Question Paper: Category I, Category II, and Category III.

  • In Category I, each question is worth one mark, and four incorrect answers result in a one-point deduction.
  • In Category II, each question is worth two points, with one point deducted for each incorrect answer.
