Next Steps for Allotted Candidates
For candidates who secure a seat in this mop-up round, several important steps must be completed promptly to confirm their admission:
Payment of Seat Acceptance Fee:
Candidates have to pay the amount of Rs 5000 as seat acceptance fee to confirm the seat allotted to them. This payment can be done online through credit card, debit card, UPI, net banking through the official website of WBJEEB. To avoid cancellation of the allotted seat, this payment must be made within the set time as stated earlier.
Document Verification:
After the payment, the candidates are expected to proceed to their respective institutes mentioned against their roll number for physical document verification. These are the seat allotment letter, WBJEE rank card, Class 10th admit card or birth certificate, Class 10th and 12th mark sheets, domicile certificate, category certificates if any, PwD certificate, and income certificate. Lack of any of these documents may lead to some difficulties in getting an admission.
Final Admission Formalities:
Following successful document verification, the candidates will be issued an admission confirmation letter by the institute. Here, it is pertinent to mention that the last date for submission of the report to the aforementioned institutes and for the completion of all other admission-related formalities is August 12, 2024.
Important Rules for Mop-Up Round
- In case a candidate gets a new seat in mop-up round, then the previous seat allotted to him/her, if any, will stand withdrawn. The seat will then be opened to other qualified candidates. One must also know that once a new seat is provided, the old one cannot be regained.
- If the candidates paid the seat acceptance fee in the earlier round and were assigned a new seat, the amount paid will be applied to the new institute.
- The mop-up round is the last round of the WBJEE 2024 counseling session. In this round, all the remaining unoccupied seats will be turned over to the relevant departments for further processing.
