The two main sections of the NDA NA I 2025 exam, the General Ability Test and Mathematics, were conducted on April 13. Each paper included multiple-choice questions and took 2 hours and 30 minutes to complete. Both Hindi and English language of the examinations were offered in order to serve a larger candidate population.
This year's NDA NA I exam application window was open from December 11, 2024, until January 1, 2025. UPSC hopes to fill 406 positions at the Naval Academy and National Defence Academy through this hiring procedure.

According to the NDA 2025 selection procedure, those who clear the short list in the written exam must show up for the next round of SSB interviews. To join the AirForce, candidates must also take the Computerised Pilot Selection System (CPSS) based on their preferences and requirements. Based on their performance in the NDA SSB written exam and interview, candidates will be chosen by their individual academies according to their medical fitness, NDA eligibility indicated on the application form, and merit-cum-preference.
