The NTA has officially started the online application process for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) June 2025. Indian colleges and universities require this examination for PhD admissions. It also evaluates Indian candidates who want to become Assistant Professors or receive Junior Research Fellowships (JRFs).
The UGC NET June 2025 exam is tentatively scheduled for June 21–30, 2025, and will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) form for 85 courses.
UGC NET June 2025: Steps to apply
Step 1: Go to ugcnet.nta.ac.in or nta.ac.in, the official website.
Step 2: Select the "UGC NET June 2025 Online Application" link.
Step 3: Create an account with an email address and phone number.
Step 4: Use the OTP that was sent to the registered email address or mobile device to confirm your credentials.
Step 5: Enter your newly generated login information.
Step 6: Enter personal, academic, and exam-related information on the application form.
Step 7: Select the subject and exam centre of your choice.
Step 8: Upload the necessary files (signature and scanned photo).
Step 9: Go over all the information entered and, if necessary, make any revisions.
Step 10: Use UPI, Net Banking, or a Debit/Credit Card to pay the application fee.
Step 11: Send in the filled-out application.
Step 12: Save the confirmation page to your computer for later use.
