The NIOS Class 10, 12 theoretical public examination for April 2025 will start today, April 9, 2025, at a number of examination centers both domestically and internationally. The  NIOS Class 10, 12 2025 public exam will start at 2:30 PM for centers in India and at 3:00 PM for those outside of India.

Students who registered for the Class 12 public examinations are scheduled to appear for the Bharatiya Darshan, while Class 10 students will appear for the Entrepreneurship examinations today, according to the NIOS exam date sheet 2025.

Students are required  to have their NIOS hall ticket, which may be downloaded from the official website at sdmis.nios.ac.in. According to the schedule, 7 weeks following the exam's last day, the NIOS results for Classes 10 and 12 will be released. On May 19, the NIOS public exam 2025 will be finished.

“The Mark-Sheet-cum-Certificate and Migration-cum-Transfer Certificate will be issued to the successful candidates directly through their respective Als. In case of cancelled Als these documents will be sent to them by post at their residential addresses available at NIOS by the concerned Regional Centre,” the board said.

The Class 10 and 12 public exams are conducted by the NIOS twice a year. Over a five-year period, students will have nine opportunities to pass the examination. The NIOS question paper will be attempted by students using a single response booklet. During the examination, no extra answer sheets will be given. However, students who are visually challenged or have special needs will be granted an extra 20 minutes per hour for each subject of the exam.

Class 10

A minimum of 33% marks in the aggregate

course including TMA as well as 33% marks (Theory plus Practical wherever applicable) in the public exam excluding allotted marks of TMA

Pass in 5 subjects including at least one but not more than two languages.

Class 12

A minimum of 33% marks in the aggregate

course including TMA as well as 33% marks (Theory plus Practical wherever applicable) in the public exam excluding allotted marks of TMA

Pass in 5 subjects including at least one but not more than two languages.
