After staging a rally, the students announced the cancellation of their protest for the day and restated their demands, which included the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and the outlawing of the NTA. The students also called for the reinstatement of the earlier university-specific admission exam system and a reexamination of NEET-UG for all. Among the other student groups taking part in the protest were Delhi University's KYS and the Left-affiliated AISA. Students gathered at Jantar Mantar on the sixth day of the strike, shouting anti-NTA slogans and Pradhan's resignation.

On Tuesday, they announced the end of their daylong, indefinite sit-in and called for a march in the direction of Parliament. Exam corruption and paper leak problems at multiple NTA centers in Gujarat and Bihar are currently being investigated by the CBI. Rescheduled dates for the National Common Entrance Test (NCET), Joint CSIR-UGC NET, and UGC-NET exams have been announced by the NTA. These tests were previously postponed. From August 21 to September 4, UGC NET will be held again. July 25–27 will be the date of the Joint CSIR-UGC NET, and July 10 is the date of the NCET.
