The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) starts the Maharashtra HSC Class 12 Board Exams 2025 today on 11th February 2025 for around 15 lakh students. The board implied Section 144 across all exam centers (3373) in the state to avoid any misconduct or use of unethical means.
According to the Maharashtra HSC date sheet 2025, subject-wise exams are set to begin on 11th February 2025 and conclude on 18th March 2025. All papers will be conducted in offline mode excluding Information Technology and General Knowledge which will be held online from 12th March to 18th March 2025.
The 15 lakh students appearing for the exam includes 8,10,348 boys, 6,94,652 girls, and 37 transgenders. The Maharashtra Board has implemented Sections 144 which restricts gathering of four or more than four people near the exam centers. Photocopy shops within the radius of 500 meters will also be shut down on all exam days.
Students are suggested to reach the exam center at least 30 minutes before the exam timings. The exam is set to be conducted in two shifts - morning shift (11am to 2pm) and afternoon shift (3pm to 6pm). Students are expected to be seated in the exam hall by 10:30 am for the morning shift and 2:30pm for the afternoon shift.
They must carry their Maharashtra HSC Admit Card 2025 and school identity card with them to the exam hall on all exam days.

The 15 lakh students writing the exam includes 7,68,967 students writing the Science exam, 3,80,410 students taking the Arts exam, and 3,19,439 writing the Commerce exam. Vocation course exam will be taken by 31,735 students and 4,486 students will write the Technical Science (ITI) exam.
- The district administration has made arrangements for drone cameras to be installed to monitor the Maharashtra HSC Class 12 exam venues.

- Flying squads as well as sitting squads will be supervising the exam to ensure a copy free exam
- The directors and supervisors at each exam center will have to pass through facial recognition system. Also, each exam coordinator will be given official identity cards by the divisional board.
- As per the Maharashtra Prevention of Malpractices Act 1982, use of unfair means in the exam is an unbailable offence.
