The combined competitive entrance exam schedule for admission to different colleges and institutions for the 2025–2026 academic year has been made public by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB).
Apart from the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE), the board also conducts the West Bengal Joint Entrance Lateral Engineering Test (JELET), the Presidency University Bachelor’s Degree Entrance Test (PUBDET), the Presidency University Master’s Degree Entrance Test (PUMDET), and the Joint Entrance Test for Nursing, Paramedical, and Allied Sciences Undergraduate Course (JENPAS UG).
The WBJEE exam which is of 3 hours is required for admission to undergraduate engineering programs. PUBDET is responsible for undergraduate admission, whereas PUMDET is in charge of graduate admission. See the exam schedule below:
WBJEE 2025: Schedule
The WBJEE 2025 exam will be conducted on 27 April, 2025. The WBJEE 2025 exam has 2 Papers: Paper 1 and 2 which will be of 4 hours each. Mathematical topics will be covered in Paper 1 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and physics and chemistry topics will be covered in Paper 2 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Additionally, candidates will be able to download their admit cards between April 17 and April 27, 2025.
The general merit rank (GMR) and pharmacy merit rank (PMR) are awarded to candidates who appear in both papers 1 and 2. These applicants will be taken into consideration for admission to all engineering and pharmacy programs. Candidates are only eligible for PMR if they only appear on paper 2. These applicants will only be taken into consideration for admission to pharmacy programs (with the exception of Jadavpur University). Candidates are not eligible for any rank if they just appear on paper one.
