The National Testing Agency (NTA) has made some significant changes to the JEE Main Exam Pattern 2025. As per the official notification shared, the Optional questions in Section B for the JEE Main Paper 1, Paper 2A and 2B introduced during the pandemic have been scrapped and the pattern will revert to its original format.
JEE Main 2025 Exam Pattern: Owing to the pandemic in 2019, the NTA had made changes in the original JEE Main pattern, and optional questions in Section B were introduced. However, this has now been changed, and the optional questions have been scrapped.
Candidates appearing for the JEE Main 2025 exam expected to be held in January and April 2025 will no longer have the flexibility to choose 5 out of 10 questions in Section B. The changes introduced apply to the JEE Main 2025 paper 1 (BE and B. Tech) and Paper 2A (BArch) and 2 B (B. Plan)
JEE Main 2025 Official Website Launched
In a notification issued, the National Testing Agency has launched the website for the JEE Main 2025 exams. According to the official notification, the registration and application process is set to commence soon.
JEE Main 2025 Exam Schedule
NTA will soon release the JEE Main 2025 exam schedule on the official website. Going by the past trends the JEE Main application process is expected to begin in November or December 2024. Candidates are advised to keep their documents ready for the application process. Students who have completed their class 12 qualifying exams in the science stream with mathematics and those appearing for the class 12 qualifying exams in March-April 2025 in the science stream will be eligible to apply for the JEE Main 2025 exam.
