IIM Mumbai Placement 2025: 100% Placements, Highest Salary at ₹47.5 lakh, Pharma hiring surges 130%

IIM Mumbai 2025 has achieved 100% placement for this batch, with the highest salary package so far being ₹47.5 LPA. This year, compared to last year, the job offers had 10% plus growth, and the average salary had 5% growth, the institute said.

The placement drive saw participation from 198 companies. The average salary for the top 10% of students was ₹ 47.5 LPA, followed by ₹41.2 LPA by the top 20% and ₹34.1 LPA by the top 50% candidates.

In terms of sectors, the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors witnessed a 130% jump in job offers for new talent, due to their fast-paced growth and development. Retail and e-commerce, which saw the highest jump in hiring with a 47.73% increase followed by consulting firms, which hired 28.92% more students than in the last year.

Accenture was the most prolific recruiter (hiring 41 employees at an average salary of ₹45.37 LPA). Other top recruiters included PwC India (18 offers), PwC US Advisory (10 offers), Vodafone Idea, Workday, OfBusiness, ZS, Alvarez & Marsal, and Praxis Global Alliance.

IIM Mumbai Director Prof. Manoj Tiwari expressed pride in the students’ achievements, saying that their seamless transfer to the campus of IIM Mumbai, along with the close industry connections of the institute, are all responsible for this success. The 100% placement rate, he noted, is a testament to the efforts of students, faculty, and corporate partners.

IIM Mumbai was previously known as the National Institute for Training in Industrial Engineering (NITIE). IIM Mumbai became India’s 21st IIM in 2023 through a bill passed in Parliament.

The institute has plans to start courses in urban logistics, infrastructure management, and public policy soon. It will also launch short-term, industry-specific programs to address corporate training needs.
