The University of Delhi has announced the necessary documents for undergraduate program admissions, as well as the admission guidelines for the 2025-2026 academic year. As per the notice, the results of the CUET (UG) 2025 exam will singlehandedly determine admissions to DU UG courses for the year 2025. The university has confirmed, “Students wishing to enter the institution for the academic session 2025-26 will only be granted admission based on their CUET (UG) 2025 scores.”
DU UG Admission 2025: Important Admission Information
CUET (UG) results: Except for admission to the School of Open Learning (SOL), Non-Collegiate Women Education Board (NCWEB), and foreign nationals, all undergraduate programs at DU will be decided by CUET (UG) 2025 results.
Eligibility Criteria: Candidates who passed Class XII and its equivalent from a recognized board are eligible. They must make certain that their degree earned from overseas is recognized by Association of Indian Universities (AIU) after completing the studies.
Required CUET subjects: For the admission, candidates need to appear in the CUET (UG) 2025 examination for topics studied in Class XII. If a candidate did not take a qualifying subject in Class XII, they are required to take an associated subject out of the available options (for example, a candidate who studied biochemistry must appear in CUET in biology).
Specific qualifying criteria for the program: Admission will be determined by a mix of domain-specific subjects, language scores, and/or the General Aptitude Test (GAT). Candidates must check the individual requirements for their preferred programme to determine which subjects to take at CUET.
Seat Allocation and Registration: All candidates are required to register for CUET (UG) 2025 through the website of the NTA (cuet. nta. nic. in). Candidates who want to be conferred with a seat need to register through Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS-UG) 2025 on the Delhi University admissions' official website (admission. uod. ac. in).
Citizenship Requirement: Regular undergraduate courses are only open to Indian citizens or Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) students.
Subject mapping and program-specific eligibility criteria: Applicants must choose their CUET (UG) subjects as per the requirements of the courses they want to register in. If there is at least 50% overlap in the curriculum, the university retains the power to determine topic similarities.
DU Admission 2025: Important Information for Applicants
Only one mark sheet from a single recognised board will be taken into account for minimum eligibility for DU admissions. Subject mapping and eligibility decisions made by the university are final and legally binding. For further information about seat distribution and admission procedures, candidates can continue to visit the official DU admission website, admission.uod.ac.in.
