CUET UG and PG 2025: Exams Set for Changes; Revised Draft to be Released Soon

Jagadesh Kumar, the Chairman of University Grants Commission (UGC) recently held a discussion session with students from various colleges. During this session, students shared their experiences and provided foresight into the examination process, highlighting the areas which require improvement according to their experience.

Kumar said while spending 2 hours with the students, he gained the valuable experience of listening to these students and got to know insights of the students’ experience and their perspective of the exam. The students also gave him suggestions for the upcoming CUET UG 2025 

The chairman also emphasized the importance of changing the exam skeleton to create a better and much more supportive environment for those students who are taking these exams. He informed that the UGC has formed an expert committee whose task is to review and recommend changes based on the feedback of students from the previous years for the CUET UG and PG 2025 exams.

Jagadesh Kumar stated that the expert committee has already analyzed the test through various aspects which include number of papers, duration of the test, syllabus, and operational logistics.  

UGC will soon release a draft proposal containing all the details of the revised guidelines for the conduction of CUET UG, PG exam 2025. These changes aim to make higher education much more flexible and inclusive with the changes that the students need. Feedback and suggestions from students, parents, teachers and institutions will be accepted.

CUET UG was changed a bit in 2024. These changes include format changes, the total number of subjects, and also the difficulty level of the exams. Subjects which had higher registrations were taken in OMR sheets and the difficulty level was moderate to help students to avoid stress during exams.
