The CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) Board has disregarded all reports mentioning the CBSE class 10 and 12 syllabus to be reduced by 15% this year.
Bringing to notice that âno such policy decisionâ has been made, the board stated that it has not published any official notice for the same or done any changes in the examination policy or evaluation system. Moreover, it declared that details about Board's policy decisions are only issued via the Board's official website or other approved channels.
The ANI (news agency) quoted what CBSE said: "Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) would like to clarify that the Board has not issued any such notice or made any changes to the evaluation system or examination policy, and no official announcement has been made in this regard. Therefore, such reports are considered baseless."
Recently there were several news reports mentioning CBSE to have declared 15% syllabus reduction for CBSE 10th and 12th Board exams 2025. The reports cited the saying of Vikas Kumar Agrawal (Board's regional officer) who spoke in Indore, at a school principal's summit âBridging the Gapâ.
In the mean time, the board is tentative to issue the CBSE Class 10 and 12 Date Sheet 2025 in the last week of November. This is a speculation based on previous year trends. According to last year trend, the CBSE Class 10 and 12 Board Exams 2025 are likely to start from 15th February 2025. Though there has been no official notice from the CBSE, the exam date is predicted on the basis of a previous notification issued by CBSE.
