CBSE 10th Social Science Board Exam 2025: Teachers and Students Opinion

The CBSE 10th Social Science Board Exam was conducted on 25th February 2025 on the 6th day of the commencement of exams. The exams was conducted in the morning shift (10:30am - 1:30pm). Students who took the exam had to be at the exam center at the reporting time as per the admit card.

According to CBSE, it was compulsory for all students to carry their CBSE 10th Admit Card along with stationery and other important items (Transparent Pouch, Geometry/Pencil Box, Blue/Royal Blue Ink/Ball Point/Gel Pen, Scale, Writing Pad, Eraser, Analogue Watch, Transparent Water Bottle, Metro Card, Bus Pass, Money) to the exam hall.

Private candidates were allowed to wear light-coloured clothes and were instructed to carry with them a government issued original photo as identity proof and the admit card.

The CBSE Class 10 Exams began on 15th February and will end on 18th March 2025.

Around 44 lakh students enrolled in 8000 schools are appearing for the CBSE Class 10 and 12 Board Exams 2025.

Items not allowed at CBSE Exam Centres

The below given list mentions the items students are not allowed to carry at CBSE Exam Halls:

  • Bluetooth Devices
  • Earphones
  • Microphones
  • Smartwatches
  • Wallets
  • Goggles
  • Handbags
  • Pouches

Also the Central Board of Secondary Examination announced its commitment to ensuring the conduct of a fair and secure exams for all students of the country and world.

CBSE Class 10 Social Science Paper Analysis 2025

Rishikesh Jha SME, Social Science at Seth M.R. Jaipuria Schools stated, “The Class 10 Social Science paper for the academic year 2024-2025 was easy to moderate, making it accessible to a majority of students. The questions were well-structured and closely aligned with the NCERT textbooks, ensuring that students who had thoroughly studied the syllabus found the paper manageable.”

He also said - “The exam was balanced in terms of difficulty level, providing students with an opportunity to demonstrate their understanding without feeling overwhelmed. It was not an excessively lengthy paper. The paper featured a diverse range of question types, including map-based questions, case studies, and analytical problems, promoting application-based learning specially in Section A- Multiple Choice Questions and Section D- Long Answer Type Questions, which encouraged students to think critically and apply their conceptual knowledge."
