With the CAT exam approaching on 24th November, the CAT mock tests are an excellent way to prepare for the actual CAT exam. The mock tests are conducted to familiarize the students with the CAT exam pattern, the marking scheme, and the kind of questions that may be asked in the CAT exam. Candidates should aim to score high in these mocks as it also increases their chances to perform better in the actual exam. Similar to CAT exam, the CAT mock tests are also timed, and the candidates should finish the exam within 2 hours, and one section within 40 minutes. Attempting these mocks will also help the candidates in improving their speed, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
According to the notification shared, the CAT mock test contains questions from exams from previous years. The mock tests are conducted to familiarize students with the types of questions asked for the CAT exams and the exam pattern and process.
The mock tests will last 120 minutes and are based on the paper pattern from the previous year. However, the mock tests are only indicative and subject to variations from all previous exams. Students from the PwD section will receive an extra 40 minutes.

- Visit the official website of CAT exam - iimcat.ac.in. Alternatively, candidates can also click on the direct link provided on this page below.
- Once the website opens, scroll down, and click on the ‘CAT 2024 Mock Test Link’ option
- A CAT mock test guide will open, with 3 links in the end.
- Click on the relevant link for CAT mock test, and a new window will open.
- Enter your Registration Number and Password, and click ‘Login’.
- The CAT mock test instruction page will open. Carefully read those instructions, and click on next.
- Once you have agreed to all the terms and conditions, you will be redirected to the CAT mock test.
- Start attempting the mock test. It is to be noted that as soon you will start the mock test, the timer will begin.

CAT Exam Pattern
CAT 2024 is scheduled to be held in three shifts on November 24, 2024. Details of the exam shift are mentioned on the CAT admit card. Students must make sure to report to the exam centres well ahead of time and carry with them a copy of their CAT admit card and a valid id proof for verification at the exam centre.
The exam will include three sections namely - Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), Verbal Ability and Reading and Comprehension (VARC) and Quantitative Aptitude (QA). Students need to answer a total of 66 questions with each right answer being awarded 3 marks. One mark will be deducted from every incorrect answer.
