If you’re unhappy with your marks in one or more subjects, you have the option to request a re-evaluation (scrutiny) of your answer sheets. To do this, visit the official website matricbsebscutiny.com and pay a fee of ₹120 per subject.
For those planning to take the BSEB 10th compartment exams 2025 or special exams, applications can be submitted through school authorities on the websites secondary.biharboardonline.com or biharboardonline.com. The application fee is:
- General category: ₹1,010
- SC, ST, and EBC students: ₹895
How to Apply for Scrutiny?
If you wish to apply for scrutiny, follow these simple steps:
- Visit the official website: matric.bsebscutiny.com
- Register yourself by entering your roll code, roll number, date of birth, and creating a secure password.
- Select the subjects you want re-evaluated by checking the relevant boxes.
- Make the payment using a debit card, credit card, or net banking.
- Confirm the payment within 24 hours to ensure it has been processed correctly.
- Important Note: If your payment is deducted but not reflected in the board’s account, your application will be considered incomplete and will not be accepted.
How Will Your Answer Sheet Be Re-Evaluated?
During scrutiny, the examiners will check for:
- Any marks that were not transferred correctly from inside the answer script to the front page.
- Errors in the total calculation of marks.
- Unchecked or unmarked answers, which will now be evaluated and assigned marks.
- After scrutiny, your marks may increase, decrease, or remain the same
What If You’ve Failed in Two Subjects?
If you have failed in up to two subjects and are applying for both scrutiny and the compartment exams, here’s what happens:
If scrutiny increases your marks enough for you to pass, your annual exam result will be updated, and the compartment exam result will not be considered.
