All 133 students from the MBA Class of 2024-26 of BITS School of Management (BITSoM) have been placed for summer internships, achieving 100% placement even in adverse market conditions. Interns may be assigned to any one of the 54 participating companies from various sectors. The average stipend over the two-month internship was Rs 1.72 lakh.
Students were extended offers in sectors like consulting, finance, FMCG, e-commerce, IT, telecom, sustainable energy, and AI. Top consulting firms, such as McKinsey & Company, Accenture, EY, KPMG, and PwC, were the top recruiters. In finance, there were offers from JP Morgan Chase & Co, Bank of America, ICICI Bank, IDFC First Bank, SBI, NSE, and Union Mutual Fund.
Interns were also hired by FMCG or conglomerates like Tata Sons, Aditya Birla Group, Colgate-Palmolive, Britannia, Cipla, L'Oréal, and Pidilite. IBM and Vodafone Idea were hired from the tech and e-commerce space, while Flipkart and BigBasket were also recruited from the sector. Other businesses such as Arka Energy and Cipher Oncology, provided positions in sustainability and emerging technology sectors.
Out of these, 24 students bagged internships with no campus objective. The average stipend fell by 1.7% from last year's Rs 1.75 lakh. But high-quality students drew good stipends, too —Rs 3.62 lakh (top 10%), Rs 3.10 lakh (top 30%), and Rs 2.68 lakh (top 50%).
This season of the placement process witnessed participation from 20 new recruiters, which can be a reflection of BITSoM’s strong industry linkages. Dean Dr. Saravanan Kesavan commended the students' resilience and discussed the institute's commitment to state-of-the-art projects in artificial intelligence as well as a robust career assistance ecosystem.
