CAT: Common Admission Test (CAT) is a Top MBA Entrance Examination in India for admission to MBA courses offered by IIMs. The exam is conducted by one of the IIMs on a rotational basis every year. Apart from Indian Institutes of Management, there are more than 1200 Business Schools that accept CAT Score for admission to their MBA programs. As per the CAT Eligibility Criteria, candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in any field with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in aggregate from a recognized university.

MAT: The full form of MAT is the Management Aptitude Test, which is a national-level examination conducted for admission to MBA courses in over 800+ top notch B-Schools. The exam is conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA) in four phases - February, May, August, and December.
MAT Exam is conducted in offline mode as Paper-Based-Test (PBT), online mode as Computer-Based-Test (CBT), and Remote Proctored Test (IBT). The MAT exam fee, syllabus and exam pattern remain the same for all three exams but the exam dates and admit cards are separate for each exam. Candidates can even appear in multiple modes, but have to register for them separately. The test score of the last MAT exam taken will be considered for admission process.
- XAT: The full form of XAT is the Xavier Aptitude Test. XAT is an annual national entrance exam conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur for admission to various MBA/PGDM programs. Apart from XLRI and 10 other XAMI member colleges, over 1000 B-Schools accept the XAT Score for admission to their post-graduate courses like MBA, PGDM, and Executive MBA.
- CMAT: The Common Management Admission Test shortened as CMAT is one of the national level entrance examinations conducted across the country for admission to management programs in several MBA institutions. The examination used to be conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) every year as per the directions given by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. From the year 2020, the exam is decided to be conducted by a newly created testing agency named as National Testing Agency (NTA). The agency has been created for higher education.

ATMA: The AIMS Test for Management Admissions (ATMA) is a national-level exam for admission to MBA, PGDM, MCA, and PGDBA programs administered by the Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS). ATMA scores are accepted for admission to management programs at over 750 management institutes in India.
The test is designed to assess candidates' aptitude for advanced management studies.The ATMA exam is divided into six sections.ATMA is administered in the center-based online test mode across the country multiple times per year.
- NMAT: NMAT Exam or NMAT by GMAC is a national-level MBA examination for admission to NMIMS and other reputed b-schools in India as well as abroad. Until GMAC took over, the exam was conducted by the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) itself. NMAT is a student-friendly exam as it allows the students to choose their own exam date and venue during the NMAT scheduling window. NMAT and GMAT have certain common features like choosing the preferred date during a testing window as well as self-schedule the test, time and venue, and appointment date based on the availability of seats at the preferred test centre.
