SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) has uploaded a very helpful video for students sitting for the SRMJEEE 2025 exam (Phase 1). When is the Exam Taking Place?
The SRMJEEE 2025 online proctored exam will take place on the following dates:
April 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, and 27
The exam will be held in two shifts a day:
Shift 1: 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM
Shift 2: 2:00 PM - 4:30 PM
To familiarize the students with the online system, there can be the organization of mock tests till April 21. It is advisable to attempt one mock test before the actual one so that you have an idea about how things go.
What You Need to Take the Exam (System Requirements)
To take the exam from home, you will need the following:
- A desktop or laptop computer (You can't use a tablet or mobile phone)
- A functional webcam and microphone
- Intel i3 (4th generation) or higher processor
- At least 4 GB RAM
- At least 2 GB of free space on your hard disk
- Windows 8 or later or macOS 10.14 Mojave or later
- Internet speed of at least 1 Mbps
- Ensure your device is compatible with these, or you might not be able to sit for the test comfortably.
How to Attempt the SRMJEEE 2025 Remote Proctored Test?

The steps are mentioned briefly below:
Download the Exam Application - Go to the official SRMIST website and download the exam application on the same desktop or laptop where you will be giving the exam.
After downloading, you need to install the application.
Open the Application - The app will automatically open up once installed. In case it doesn't, you can find the exam icon on your desktop and double-click on it.
Login - You would have to enter your password and username (these would be provided by SRMIST).
Verification Step - You would be required to capture your photo and the photo of your ID using your webcam.
Read the Instructions - After you log in and authenticate yourself, read all instructions displayed on the screen thoroughly.
Start the Exam - After reading the instructions, you can proceed with your exam.
Some Useful Tips
- Ensure that you are in a brightly lit room with no other individuals when you sit for the exam.
- Do not have any other individual in your room while sitting for the exam.
- Have your ID within reach.
- Ensure your internet is stable while sitting for the exam.
