The QS International Trade Rankings 2025, announced on February 12, ranked two Indian institutions among the top for their MBA and Master's courses. Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad ranks the highest Indian institution, followed by the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) in the list.
IIM Ahmedabad's MBA and Master's course rose dramatically from rank 65 to 42 in the current year's rankings, indicating its increased global stature. On the other hand, IIFT also slipped, from rank 60 to 63. In contrast, SP Jain School of Global Management, an Australian university, also appeared in the 68th rank.
QS International Trade Rankings Overview
The QS International Trade Rankings were originally published on May 22, 2024, in partnership with the Hinrich Foundation, to analyze and report on the top-performing international trade programs in the world. The 2025 ranking is in a two-table format, separating the Master's and MBA programs and Executive MBA programs to make comparison easier based on study level.
The United States and the United Kingdom are still the stars, occupying the top three positions in the rankings.
Top Institutions for Executive MBA in International Trade
There are a total of 30 institutions ranked in the Executive MBA category this year. The top three are:
- University of Cambridge (Judge Business School) – United Kingdom
- Georgia Institute of Technology (Scheller College of Business) – United States
- London Business School – United Kingdom
Surprisingly, no Indian institutions were listed in this category for 2025.
Best MBA & Master's Programs in International Trade
The QS International Trade Rankings 2025 for MBA and Master's programs list 87 institutions. The top three institutions in this category are:
- Arizona State University (Thunderbird School of Global Management) – United States
- University of Oxford – United Kingdom
- IMD MBA (Lausanne, Switzerland) – Switzerland
These rankings provide valuable insights into the best learning institutions that drive global trade education.
