The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee will resume the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 from February 15. The exam centres for the February 15 and 16 exams have been relocated from Prayagraj to Lucknow because of Mahakumbh.
Revised Admit Cards Released
IIT Roorkee has issued a new admit card for the candidates who are going to appear in the GATE 2025 exams on February 15 and 16. The aspirants can download their new admit cards from the official website gate2025.iitr.ac.in by entering their enrollment ID and password.
Information on GATE 2025 Admit Card
The admit card includes:
- Candidate's Photograph & Signature
- Enrollment ID
- Paper Code
- Exam Date & Timings
- Exam Centre & Guidelines
The exam will be conducted in two shifts:
- Forenoon Session: 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM
- Afternoon Session: 2:30 PM – 5:30 PM
GATE 2025 Exam Schedule for February 15 & 16
Previously, IIT Roorkee had also shifted exam centres for GATE 2025 exams on February 1 and 2 because of Mahakumbh.
GATE 2025 Marking Scheme
- Every question is worth 1 or 2 marks.
Negative marking is applicable on MCQs:
- 1-mark MCQ: 1/3 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer.
- 2-mark MCQ: 2/3 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer.
- No negative marking for MSQ (Multiple Select Questions) and NAT (Numerical Answer Type) questions.
- No partial marking for any question.
The GATE 2025 results will be declared on March 19, 2025. Candidates are requested to remain updated through the official website.
