The National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon be announcing the NIFT result 2025 on the official website of the NIFT 2025 exam. The candidates who appeared for NIFT 2025 will be able to check the NIFT final answer key along with the result by logging in using the credentials created at the time of NIFT registration. The provisional answer key for NIFT was released on 15th February and could be challenged till 17th Februray. The result for NIFT is expected to be out soon in April 2025.
Candidates who qualify for the written exams (GAT and CAT) have to appear in a Situation Test/ Personal Interview (PI). The FINAL results of the NIFT 2025 exam will be prepared by giving weightage to the written exams and Situation Test (PI). What's New in NIFT Result?
Recently, NTA has announced its weeding out policy for the NIFT 2025 entrance examination. As per this policy, the NIFT result records will only be preserved online for 90 days from the date of result declaration and therefore, the candidates must download and save the result offline to avoid losing it altogether. For security reasons, candidates are advised to preserve all the necessary documents like the NIFT admit card and the NIFT application form.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will not be entertaining any requests for records or result copies after the passing period of 90 days. Therefore all the documents must be preserved safely offline.

To download the NIFT result candidates simply need to follow a 3 step procedure. The step-by-step process has been detailed below.

- Click on "Final result of UG and PG programs" under the Admissions tab
- Once redirected, click on “Click here to download the result.”
Details available on the NIFT scorecard
The NIFT scorecard is an important document and will contain the following details. Candidates must carefully check the details to avoid any kind of obstacle in the NIFT admission process.
- Name of the candidate
- Date of birth
- Photograph
- Roll number
- Application number
- Subject-wise scores obtained in written exams (CAT and GAT) and the Situation Test/ Personal Interview
- Total score in NIFT Entrance Exam 2025
- NIFT 2025 merit rank of the candidate
NIFT 2025 Result - Benefit marks for wrong questions
The NTA will release the answer key and question paper of NIFT 2025 after the conclusion of the written exam.
- If a question asked in the NIFT 2025 exam, for any reason, is found to be wrong, then the benefit of marks will be given to only those candidates who attempted the question. On examining the challenges by the subject experts, if it is found that along with the original answer key, one more option(s) is correct, then marks will be awarded to all those candidates who have attempted any one of the correct options.
- No grievances/ representation about the Answer Key(s) will be entertained after NIFT 2025 results are declared.

What after NIFT Entrance Exam 2025 Result?
Once NIFT results are declared, candidates need to go through their scores and rank to find out if they meet the NIFT cutoff. Candidates who meet the NIFT Entrance Exam cutoff then need to appear for the Counselling round.
- NIFT Counselling:NIFT entrance exam counsellingis conducted for candidates who have qualified in the NIFT 2025 entrance exam.
- NIFT Cutoff:Each year, NIFT authorities shortlist aspirants for admission on the basis ofNIFT Entrance Exam Cutoffs. Candidates who meet these cutoffs are eligible to secure admission to the NIFT campus and course of their choice. The National Institute of Fashion Technology releases NIFT cutoffs college-wise, category-wise, and course-wise.
NIFT 2025 Cutoff
The NIFT 2025 Cut Off is the minimum rank required for admission to the NIFT Participating Institutes and may vary across campuses. It will be determined based on factors such as the number of seats available, the difficulty level of the exam, and the number of students appearing.
The cut-off will be released on a campus and section-wise basis. To be eligible for admission, a candidate must score the minimum marks defined in the NIFT Cut Off and those who meet this requirement will be invited to participate in the counseling process. The final campus allocation, based on the Common Merit Rank (CMR), may differ from year to year based on the candidates' preferences.
Based on previous years' trends, the table below shows the Closing Merit Rank (CMR) for admission to various courses at different NIFT campuses. For candidates in the general category, a relatively low rank is required for admission to any of the courses.

NIFT Entrance Exam 2025 Tie-Breaker Policy
If two or more candidates score the same marks, then the merit ranks will be determined based on the following tie-break criteria.
- The marks scored by the candidate in tests withhigher weightagewill be considered to break the tie. For instance, for the B.Des program, marks obtained in the CAT exam will be compared to break the tie.
- If the marks obtained in the CAT are equal, then the marks obtained in the GAT will be considered.
- If the tie is still undecided at this stage, then marks obtained subject-wise in the following order will be considered: Communication Ability, English Comprehension, Quantitative Ability,Analytical Ability &General Knowledge and Current Affairs.
