KCET Exam Pattern: The exam pattern of the KCET exam is released by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) on the official website. Aspirants are advised to thoroughly understand the KCET exam pattern to prepare for the exam. The exam pattern gives detailed information on various aspects of the exam like the duration, nature of questions, marking scheme, and exam mode.

The KCET exam is conducted in offline mode as a pen and paper-based test (PBT) for 3 hours and each section is to be completed in 80 minutes. The questions are in MCQ format and the candidates must choose one correct option out of the 4 options that are given. The KCET 2025 exam will be conducted for two days and four sessions. On the first day, the KCET exam in Mathematics and Biology will be conducted in two sessions, and on the second day, the Physics and Chemistry exam will take place in two sessions. KCET 2025 Kannada Language Test

Applicants who are willing to claim eligibility for the government seats under Hodanadu and Gadinadu will be required to take the Kannada Language Test. The following are the prerequisites of the same.

  • The Kannada Language Test will be conducted offline for 60 mins. and will be of 4th standard level.
  • The Test will be conducted at exam centers in Bengaluru, Belagavi, Bidar, Bijapur, and Mangalore.
  • The candidate must score a minimum of 12 marks out of 50 to qualify the Kannada Language Test.
  • Hodanadu and Gadinadu candidates who have completed their Class I - Xth in Kannada medium outside the state of Karnataka are not required to appear for the Kannada Language Test.

KCET 2025 - Instructions to fill the OMR Sheet

The applicants shall be given an OMR Sheet to fill in the responses for the Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The applicants must ensure and keep in mind the below pointers while filling in the OMR Sheet.

  • Applicants will be provided with a two-page Optical Response Sheet (ORS) to mark their answers, having the same layout.
  • The first page of the ORS is machine-readable and is designed to leave impressions of the responses on the second page.
  • The alignment of the two pages of the OMR Sheet should not be separated or disturbed by the applicant under any circumstances.
  • Candidates are required to mark answers to all the questions on the first page of the OMR Sheet by darkening the appropriate circle.
  • Candidates must use the BLACK BALL POINT pen to darken the circle.
  • Candidates must apply adequate pressure to ensure that a proper impression is made on the second page of the ORS.
  • Instructions for darkening the bubbles will be printed on the question paper and candidates must strictly adhere to the same.
  • The second page of the ORS will be given by the invigilator at the end of the examination.
