Samunnathi Scholarship is an endeavor of Kerala State Welfare Corporation for Forward Communities Ltd. It is a governmental initiative to move forward with further development and well-being of any backward sections present in forward communities under Kerala. The scholarship program shall start right from high school up to the post-graduation level and shall also involve professional courses along with CA, ICWA, and CS.
Eligible applicants must be an actual permanent resident of Kerala. Applicant belongs to a non-reservation forward community group having family income below ₹2,00,000. It runs from high school up to post-graduation and includes professional courses like engineering, medicine, CA, ICWA, and CS. Along with that, the scheme also offers coaching help to the students for PSC, UPSC, SSC, bank, civil services, and medical/engineering entrance exams. The applicant should be enrolled in a renowned institution and should not have won any awards earlier under the scheme.
This scholarship should be applied by the students as it provides financial aid for tuition fees, books, and other expenses incurred because of education. This reduces the burden on the family. IIT and NIT's, also those are not prohibited, however considering these eligibility criterions:
- Domicile: The applicants would have had to have a domicile from the state of Kerala and the candidate should have belonged to a Non- Reservation forward community.
- Income Limits: The yearly income of one's family income would not have been more than ₹2,00,000.
- Bank Account: The applicant should have a bank account in a recognized bank.
- Only those students are allowed to apply again if they have already received financial assistance under this scheme.
- Coaching Centers: The students must pick the coaching centers for applying to scholarships

Application Process for Samunnathi Scholarship
The application process is explained below:
Step 1. Registration
Only one time in the portal of KSWCFC with a registered name of Aadhaar card, email Id, phone No. and the Aadhaar Number.
Step 2. Profile Fill-up
Log in through the credentials in your registered mail or mobile and fill up all details regarding your profile.
Step 3. Application Submission
After filling up your profile, choose the appropriate scholarship or coaching assistance scheme, fill up the application form properly, upload the necessary documents in the format of PDF or JPG, between 60 KB and 150 KB.
Step 4. Submission
All the above entries were to be verified and submitted through the application form before the last date.
Documents Required
The following documents are required:
- Certificate issued by the Institution.
- Original income certificate from the village office.
- Copy of SSLC mark sheet.
- Copy of the first page of the bank passbook, showing name, account number, IFSC code, and address in the name of the applicant.
- Copy of Aadhaar card.
