The WBJEE Result is released in the form of rank cards on the official exam website - wbjeeb.nic.in. The results are announced after the WBJEE final answer key is released, before which a provisional answer key is released. The students are given a chance to challenge this provisional key and once the objections are taken into account, the final key is released followed by the result cum WBJEE scorecard.
To download the WBJEE result, candidates must login with their WBJEE application form number and the date of birth. The rank card includes details like the candidate's name, the scores in each individual subject, and the overall rank. Along with the result for WBJEE 2025, the authorities also release the list of toppers for the year. In case the candidates find any mistake in their scorecard they are advised to contact the exam authorities immediately. WBJEE Merit List 2025
The merit list will be released alongside the announcement of the WBJEE result 2025. Candidates who have been shortlisted will be invited to participate in the counseling process. The WBJEE merit list will be compiled using the candidate's marks in each subject as well as the total marks. The category of candidates will also influence the WBJEE 2025 merit list.
On the basis of the candidate's scores in all three subjects (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) of the entrance exam, the WBJEE 2025 General Merit List (GMR) will be published. Additionally, a separate merit list will be made public for applicants who fall under one of the following categories: SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD, and TFW. GMR, however, will be used for all counseling sessions and seat selection processes.

WBJEE 2025 Tie-breaking Method
There could be a situation where two or more candidates inWBJEE 2025achieve the same rank. In such cases, the following tie-breaking rules will be applied in the following order:
- Candidates will be ranked higher if their combined negative scores in math, physics, and chemistry are lower.
- If a tie still exists, the candidate with the higher overall score in physics and mathematics will be ranked higher.
- The candidate with the highest overall score in math and chemistry will be ranked higher if the tie is still unbroken.
- If a tie still exists, the candidate with the lower overall score in physics and mathematics will be given a higher rank.
- If a tie still exists, the candidate with the lower cumulative negative score in chemistry and mathematics will be given a higher rank.
- If there is still a tie, the candidate with the higher percentage of passing marks in mathematics on the two-mark questions will be given a higher ranking.
- If a tie still exists, the candidate with the higher percentage of passing marks in Physics on the two-mark questions will be given a higher rank.
- If the tie remains, the candidate with the most positive marks in Chemistry for only the two-point questions will be assigned a higher rank.
- If the tie remains, the candidate with the lowest negative marks in Mathematics for only the two-point questions will be ranked higher.
- If there is still a tie, the candidate with the lowest negative marks in Physics for only the two-mark questions will be given a higher rank.
- If the tie remains, the candidate with the lowest negative marks in Chemistry for only the two-mark questions will be assigned a higher rank.
- If a tie remains after applying the tie-breaking rules outlined above, the candidate's date of birth will be considered. In such cases, the older candidate is given priority admission.

WBJEEB will release the WBJEE cutoffin online mode once the counseling process is completed. The WBJEE cut-off will be the starting and ending ranks within which the participating institutes will offer admission to candidates. The WBJEE 2025 cutoff will vary depending on the course and institute. In addition, various factors such as the number of candidates, the availability of seats, the difficulty of the exam, and so on will be considered when preparing for the WBJEE cutoff 2025.
