WBJEE Cutoff 2024 - The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board, also known as WBJEEB will declare the WBJEE 2024 Cutoff on its official website i.e. wbjeeb.nic.in. Like last year, this year also the examination conducting authority may decide to release WBJEE Cutoff 2024 after every round of WBJEE Counselling. The opening and closing ranks for all WBJEE Accepting Colleges define the WBJEE Cutoff 2024 according to which the admission process of the WBJEE takes place.
The Cutoff of WBJEE 2024 varies with institutes, courses and the category of candidates. There are various factors that the authorities consider for determining the WBJEE Cutoff such as No. of Applicants, No. of Seats, Previous Year Cutoff Trends, etc. Since WBJEE 2024 Cutoff hasn't been released yet, candidates can go through and analyze previous year cutoff of the exam and check the trend of admission to various programs offered under WBJEE Exam.The candidates will be able to check their WBJEE result on the official website of the exam and check the same with the help of their allotted credentials.
The WBJEE Cutoff would be released by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board along with WBJEE Result.The WBJEE Cutoff is the minimum qualifying marks that a candidate should secure in order to qualify the entrance examination. The cutoff depends on numerous factors like total applicant count, seat availability, the difficulty level of examination etc.On the basis of the WBJEE cutoff that is released, the merit list of the candidates shall be determined.
All member institutes of WBJEE would be releasing branch wise opening and closing cutoff rank. WBJEEB would also release cutoff rank for JEE Main candidates as 10% of seats in self-financed colleges in West Bengal would be filled as per the merit in JEE Main. On the basis of the cutoff rank, seats would be filled in 35 B.tech courses offered by 104 participating institutes.

Types of WBJEE Cutoff
The WBJEE Cutoff is often divided into 3 sub-categories. These 3 categories have been explained below:
WBJEE Eligibility Cutoff: This is the minimum cutoff score that is required to appear for the WBJEE Exam. As per this criteria students must have secured at least 45% marks with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and other major subjects in the 10+2 qualfying examination.
WBJEE Qualifying Cutoff: This is the minimum WBJEE Qualifyinf score reuqired to pass the exam. So in order to eb eligible for admissions to various WBJEE Colleges, the students must clear or score beyond the WBJEE Qualifying Cutoff Marks, as released by the authorities.
WBJEE Admission Cutoff: Based on the WBJEE 20204 qualifying marks and merit, the colleges will give admission to courses offered by them. The participating institutes will release the branch wise cutoff and the category wise opening and closing ranks for this year.
WBJEE 2024 Cutoff - Things to Know
The exam conducting authorities will release the cutoff of WBJEE 2024 after the counselling process is concluded. The cutoff is generally the opening and closing ranks obtained by candidates for admission to the participating institutes of WBJEE. The WBJEE cutoff would be announced after the WBJEE Result Declaration. Some important characteristics of WBJEE Cutoff are as mentioned below:
- The WBJEE Cutoff would be decided by the WBJEEB and only those candidates meeting the cutoff score would be qualifying the examination.
- On the basis of the WBJEE Cutoff, the merit list of the candidates on the basis of which the participating institutes would grant admission into B.tech courses.
- Each member institute would release their individual branch wise cut off in the form of opening and closing ranks.
- A separate list of cutoff rank would be published for JEE Main candidates. The Self-Financed Engineering and Technology Colleges of West Bengal would be filling 10% of the approved seats through JEE Main.
- Candidates would have to meet the cutoff rank for admission into various engineering courses that are offered by the various participating institutes of WBJEE.

The WBJEE Merit List would be published by WBJEE on the basis of the score that is obtained by the candidates in the entrance examination. Candidates whose score would be equal or more than WBJEE Cutoff would be included in the merit list. The merit list would be in the name of GMR and the same would be taken into account for admission into degree level engineering courses offered by the member institutes. A total of 36,000 seats are expected to be filled this year by 140 participating institutes.
