Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination is the entrance examination for degree level engineering institutions and other professional colleges, which is conducted by Dr A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Uttar Pradesh. Candidates would be required to attempt UPSEE Paper 1 for getting admitted into B. Tech courses in Uttar Pradesh. Qualifying the exam not only gets you admission to undergraduate programs but also to postgraduate programs. UPSEE 2021 is scheduled to be conducted in the month of April 2021 which is a tentative date released by the university.

The exam is conducted across 42 cities in Uttar Pradesh and 17 cities in the other states and it should be noted that it is a paper-pen based test which is conducted in various slots. The examination is conducted in various slots as there are several courses that students apply for.

The registration procedure of UPSEE is expected to start in the third week of January 2021 and the window is expected to remain open until 2nd week of March 2021. Students must apply within the given time slot of registration.

Why UPSEE?

UPSEE stands for Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination which is conducted for admission to the first-year programs in the institutes which are affiliated to Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow and the other universities of Uttar Pradesh. Students who hold diploma and willing to take admission in 2nd year of a program would also be required to appear in and qualify UPSEE exam conducted by AKTU.  

Students who do not belong to UP and do not hold the domicile can also apply for 20% of the total seats offered by the university. The students are shortlisted based on UPSEE Merit.

UPSEE 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Students who wish to appear in UPSEE 2021 Exam are required to qualify a certain set of standards defined by AKTU. These standards are set to ensure students' eligibility to appear for the examination. If students fail to satisfy the minimum educational qualification defined by the university and still manages to appear in the examination, their candidature will be cancelled at any stage of admission.

Following are the highlights of UPSEE 2021 Eligibility:

  • Students who passed intermediate or equivalent are eligible to apply for B. Tech/B. Pharma/ B. Arch/ BHMCT/ BFAD or BFA.
  • Students with B. Sc. degree or Diploma in the relevant field can apply for B. Tech lateral entry.
  • Diploma holders in pharmacy are eligible for admission to B. Pharmacy lateral entry.
  • Students with BCA or B. Sc degree are eligible to apply for MCA lateral entry.
  • For admission to MBA or MCA, students must hold a B. Sc degree or equivalent.

UPSEE 2021 Application Procedure

The application procedure of UPSEE 2021 can be completed online on the official website of UPSEE i.e. upsee.nic.in. Students can apply online by visiting the official website. Following are the steps one must follow in order to register oneself for the exam:

  • The procedure can only be completed online i.e. on the official website of UPSEE i.e. upsee.nic.in.
  • Fill the UPSEE Application Form available on the website.
  • Don't forget to submit the scanned images of your passport sized photograph and signature while filling the application form.
  • You must upload your left-hand thumb impression during the registration procedure.
  • Process the payment of application fee online.
  • After the registration procedure is completed, students must take a printout of confirmation page for future reference.

Application Fee:

Students applying for the exam can process the payment of application fee in both online and offline modes. Students choosing to make the payment through online mode can use Debit card, Credit card, or Net banking and those willing to make the payment through offline channels can do so by filling the challan issued by UPSEE 2021 examination conducting authority. This can only be done after filling the application form with correct details.

UPSEE Eligibility
