Manipal Academy of Higher Education also known as Manipal University is becoming one of the popular colleges of the country which won many awards and recognition in a very short time span. Currently, there are over 28,000 students from 57 different countries who are part of the institute. As the competition is very high and the institute wants to enroll the deserving ones, it conducts its own entrance tests for admissions in various courses. Candidates qualifying the examination and selection process are only eligible for admission in any of the programmes offered at Manipal University. Anyone seeking admission in Manipal University needs to qualify Manipal Entrance Test (MET). The exam earlier uses to be called Manipal University Online Entrance Exam (MU-OET). Seats are allotted on basis of rank achieved in the entrance exam.

MET Application process usually starts from September Month followed by the release of MET Admit Card in the month of March. The final examination is being conducted in the month of April. The session usually starts from June to July.
MU OET Eligibility
Eligibility Criteria to apply for MET totally depends on nature, of course, applied for at Manipal University. Pointing out one common eligibility criteria to apply for the examination is that there is no age limit and enthusiastic aspirants can apply for the entrance test irrespective of the age. Some of the common MU-OET Eligibility are mentioned below:
- Candidates seeking admission in a graduate course needs to have qualified 10+2 from a recognized board to apply.
- Candidates applying should have physics and chemistry and English as a mandatory subject in 10+2 with Mathematics and/or Biology.
- The minimum required percentage to apply is 50% I last qualifying examination.
- To apply for a postgraduate programme candidate needs to have a graduation degree in the relevant field with at least 50% marks.
MU OET Exam Pattern
MET also known as MU OET conducted by Manipal University is an online entrance examination. The entire question paper consists of a total of 200 questions from the topics of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English and General Aptitude. Total time allotted to candidates for solving the entire question paper is two hours and 30 minutes.
Key Highlight of MET Exam Pattern:
- All the examination of MET (earlier MU OET) is conducted in the English language.
- The nature of the question asked in the examination is of objective type, where the candidate will be given a total of four options for each question and candidate needs to select the correct one as per there understanding.
- Unlike other entrance examination, there is no negative marking in MET.
- For MET of all other courses (except M Tech and ME) each carries 1 marks and candidate will be allotted complete 1 mark on the correct answer.
- As mentioned, for M Tech and ME candidates will be allotted 4 marks for each correct answer, every question carries 4 marks.
MU OET Admit Card
Candidates can download their Manipal University Online Entrance Test Admit Card by following steps:
- The e-hall ticket of MU OET will not be sent either via post or fax.
- 2.No candidate will be permitted to appear for the test without a valid MU OET e-hall ticket.
- Please ensure that all information on the e-hall ticket including photograph is clearly visible.
- MU OET e-hall ticket is an important document it must be preserved and produced at the time of counseling/admission.
