MET Exam 2025

Manipal University has started the MET registration for 2025 exam on the official website - manipal.edu, and the candidates can fill out the MET application form 2025 till 15th March 2025. The MET exam is expected to be held in April 2025 (phase 1), and the second phase is expected to be conducted in June 2025. To fill out the MET application form candidates will be required to register for the exam, upload the relevant and necessary documents, and pay the MET application fee of INR 600. Those who fill the MET application form and complete the fee payment will be eligible to receive the MET 2025 Admit Card online.

The MET question paper consists of 60 questions in total with a mix of MCQ and NAT questions. The candidates need to complete the MET exam in 2 hours and there are four sections in the exam. For each correct answer the candidates are awarded 4 marks, and 1 mark is dedcuted for wrong answers in MCQs. There is no negative marking for NAT questions. What is the MET Exam?

MET Exam 2025 is an annual university-level entrance exam held by the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) for admission to various UG and PG degree programs at the university. The Manipal Entrance Test (MET) was previously known as the Manipal University Online Entrance Exam (MU-OET). MBBS, MD, MS, PG Medical Diploma, MSc (in many disciplines), MPhil, DM, Bachelor of Audiology & Speech Pathology (BASLP), Bachelor of Cardiovascular Technology (BSc CVT), BSc (in many disciplines), Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT), BTech (in many disciplines), MTech (in many disciplines), MSc (in many disciplines), BArch, BDes, BA, MA, and other programs are available for admission at Manipal University.

MET Exam 2025 Eligibility Criteria

MET B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

The exam conducting authority determines the eligibility criteria for the 2025 MET based on the candidates' nationality and educational qualifications.

• Candidates applying for MET 2025 must carefully review the admission requirements. The admissions will be based on merit.
• Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria for the Manipal University entrance exam 2025 in order to be admitted.
• Candidates must be Indian citizens, according to the MAHE eligibility guidelines.
• The applicant must have passed the 10+2 or an equivalent examination.
• Math, English, and Physics are required subjects.
• A minimum of 50% in Mathematics, Physics, and any optional subject (Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or any technical vocational subject) is required.
• There is no minimum age requirement for admission to MET 2025.
• Candidates with Arts group subjects will be prioritized for MET BA Media.

MET Exam 2025 B.A. Media Eligibility Criteria

The exam conducting authority determines the eligibility criteria for the 2025 MET based on the candidates' nationality and educational qualifications.

• Nationality: Students applying for the MET BA Media must be Indian citizens.
• Education: Students applying for the course must have completed 10+2, American 12th grade, or IB with a grade point average of at least 45%.
• The Arts group subjects will be referred to as the MET BA Media preferred qualification.

MET Exam 2025: Application Form

MAHE has released the MET 2025 application form online. Candidates must register, fill out the required information, upload scanned documents, and pay the application fee during the application process. The application deadline for the MET Exam 2025 first attempt is March 15. There will be no applications accepted after the deadline. All information provided should correspond to the documents held by the candidates. The deadline for submitting the MET 2025 application form for the second attempt has yet to be announced.

How to Fill Out the MET Application Form?

To fill out the MET application form, candidates must first register, then apply, and then pay the application fees of the exam. Each of the stages included in the MET Application Form is describe d in detail below.

Step 1: Filling in Basic Information

The first step in the process is to register for the exam. Candidates should follow the below steps to register for the exam.

• Visit the official website of MET - manipal.edu
• Information about your parents, your full name, your gender, your email address, etc.
• Course, Category: Course, Program, and Stream for candidates.
• Location: Choose the nation, state, and city, then enter your pin code while choosing your nationality.

Step 2: Uploading of Photo and Signature 

The next step incloves uplaoding the scanned photo and signature in the specified format only. Candidates must provide the following information during this stage:

• Education Qualification: Current Institute information, School Name, Qualifying Exam, Board/University, Passing Year, etc.
• Uploading of the candidate's photo and signature.

Important Photo and Signature Considerations:

• Passport-size photo with a light background (preferably white).
• The test taker must sign on white paper with a black/blue pen.
• Following that, applicants must carefully read the declaration and click the 'I AGREE' button.

Step 3: Programs and Payment

The last step is to make the exam fees payment. Candidates must choose a program and enter their address here. Choose your preferred method of payment. The following list contains some of the important points regarding MET Exam Application Fee Payment

• The application fee is INR 600, and the entrance exam fee is INR 1400.
• PayTM, credit card/debit card, or net banking can be used to pay the application fee.
• Payment can also be made by DD made payable to "Manipal Academy of Higher Education" and payable in Manipal or Udupi.
• Candidates who pay the application fee by DD must send a print copy of the completed application form along with the DD to the following address:

MET 2025 Slot Booking

MET 2025 slot booking dates have not been announced yet. Candidates will be able to access the MET 2025 slot booking facility online by logging in using their application number and OTBS password. It is to be noted that the OTBS password will be the candidate's date of birth in DDMMYYYY format. The authorities will conduct the slot booking on a first-come-first-serve basis. All candidates are advised to log in and complete the MET slot booking as soon as possible. The hall ticket will be generated after the slots are booked. In case the candidates are unable to book their slots, they will be automatically allotted by the authorities as per their availability. Separate slot booking will be open for different phases of the examination.

MET Exam 2025: Admit Card

The MET 2025 admit card or e-hall ticket can be downloaded only from the official website at manipal.edu. Candidates must complete their MET Exam 2025 Slot Booking in order to obtain their admit card via the Online Test Slot Booking System (OTBS). MAHE makes online slot booking available two weeks before the exam date. After successfully completing MET Slot Booking, candidates can download their MET 2025 Admit Card from the official website. 

How to Download MET Exam 2025 Admit Card?

To dowbload the MET admit card for 2025, candidates need to follow the below steps.

Step 1: Go to the MET manipal.edu official website.

Step 2: Enter the MET Application Number and Password that were emailed to the registered ID.

Step 3: Select the 'Login' option.

Step 4: Verify and save yur MET Exam 2025 admit card.

MET Exam 2025: Exam Pattern

MET Exam 2025: Preparation Tips 

Candidates can review some of the MET 2025 preparation tips in order to perform well in the entrance examination.

• Exam Pattern and Syllabus - Candidates are advised to review the official MET 2025 exam pattern and syllabus before beginning their preparation. As a result, the candidates will be well-prepared for the examination.
• Make a Timetable - Candidates are then advised to make a timetable for their preparation. Candidates should ensure that all subjects and topics are properly divided in the timetable. 
• Daily Revision - Candidates should revise their topics on a daily basis to reduce the likelihood of forgetting what they have learned. 
• Mock Tests - Candidates are advised to take mock tests so that they can track their preparation progress and identify common mistakes.  

MET Exam 2025: Result

The Manipal MET 2025 results will be available online in the second week of June 2025 (tentative). To view the results, candidates must enter their login information, such as their username and password. The rank card will also be released together with the MET Exam result for 2025. The authorities will also send the candidates their obtained MET 2025 ranks and scores through SMS. No requests for review of the obtained scores and ranks will be accepted. Based on the performance of the candidates in the entrance examination, the allotment of seats will be done by the authorities.

MET Exam 2025: Cut off

MET Exam 2025: Counselling

Mode of Counselling: Online

Candidates who make the MET 2025 merit list will be eligible for MET counseling and the admission process. Following the announcement of the MET 2025 result and merit list, Manipal University will begin the counselling process. Candidates must upload their 11th and 12th grade certificates, as well as their JEE Mains 2025 scorecard, SAT score, and any state CET marks, in order to participate in the counselling process. During the MET counselling and seat allotment process, candidates must register and fill out their preferred college choices. Counseling will take place online, and seats will be assigned based on merit. MAHE will also hold an additional spot round counselling session in 2025. MET Exam Counselling and Seat Allotment 2025 - Procedure (Online)

To participate in the MET 2025 counselling process, candidates must first register for the MET 2025 online counselling at the official website. Follow the detailed steps given below.

• MET Choice Filling and Modification - Candidates will need to log in to the website and select their college and branch preferences. Candidates can also change their preferences.
• Uploading Documents - After registering for counselling, candidates must upload the required documents in the prescribed format. 
• MET Exam 2025 Seat Allocation - Candidates will be assigned seats based on their merit.
• Reporting to the Allotted Institute - Candidates must report to the assigned institution with the necessary documents for verification.
