The MAT Paper Analysis for 2024 will soon be accessible on the official website for all modes. Candidates can access a comprehensive MAT 2024 exam analysis for the August session, covering IBT, CBT, and PBT. This MAT question paper analysis is generated from the input of subject experts and the responses of candidates. The MAT 2023 analysis is presented here for the candidates.

MAT 2024 PBT is scheduled to be conducted on 25th August 2024, and MAT CBT will be conducted on 18th, and IBT 1 & IBT 2 will be conducted on and 14th and 23rd August respectively. 

Following the August session exams, the MAT 2024 paper analysis will be made available here. The CBT exam for the MAT 2023 session was scheduled for September 17, 2023, while IBT Mode exam 4 took place on September 10, 2023.

Language Comprehension

The Language Comprehension segment of the MAT 2023 exams was rated as having a moderate level of difficulty, with some considering it relatively easy. Within this section, there were two Reading Comprehension passages, each accompanied by 10 questions. Additionally, candidates encountered questions related to Idioms/Phrases, Antonyms, Synonyms, Fill in the Blanks, Parajumbles, Sentence Correction, One Word Substitution, and Summary questions.

Intelligence & Critical Reasoning

The Intelligence & Critical Reasoning section of MAT 2023 was also assessed to have a moderate level of difficulty, with some test-takers finding it relatively easy. According to MAT 2023 paper analysis conducted by students, this section presented a well-balanced assortment of various reasoning questions. These included inquiries related to Blood Relation, Alphanumeric Series, Letter Series, Coding-Decoding (letter-based), Venn Diagram, Comparison, Distribution, and more. Many candidates reported being able to complete this section comfortably within a timeframe of 30-40 minutes.

The content of this section in the MAT 2023 question papers closely resembled that of previous exams. In the MAT 2023 CBT paper, tables, graphs, and charts were prominent features. Solving the Data Sufficiency questions called for the application of arithmetic and mensuration formulas. In general, the section's level of difficulty can be characterized as ranging from easy to moderate.

Indian and Global Environment

The questions in this section were clear and primarily focused on static general knowledge. Some questions pertained to recent events from the past few years. In the previous MAT exam session, the majority of questions in this section centered on current events from the past few months. Thus, individuals who stay updated on current economic and political developments in India and abroad and regularly read newspapers would likely find this section manageable. Approximately 17 questions were related to national events, while 8 were about international events. Additionally, there were 15 questions covering miscellaneous topics. For those who had prepared well in general knowledge, roughly 10 questions could be considered easy, 15 moderately difficult, and 15 challenging. In summary, the Indian and Global Environment section was perceived as easy and could be completed in under 15 minutes.
