The MAT Exam Pattern is released every year by the All India Management Association (AIMA) on their official website. Over the years, there has been significant change in the MAT Exam Pattern. The MAT exam is now conducted for 2 hours instead of 2.5 hours and the questions have also been reduced from 200 to 150. The exam is conducted in 3 modes - Paper Based Test (PBT), Computer Based Test (CBT), and Internet Based Test (IBT).

The MAT Exam is conducted 4 times a year - February, May, August, and December and the candidates can appear for the exam any number of times an in multiple modes. The MAT Score is valid for 1 year and the candidates can use their best score for admission. The difficulty level of the MAT Exam is considered to be between easy and moderate. MAT Exam Pattern - Sectional Weightage & Time -Limit

The MAT Question Paper consists of 5 sections and each section has 30 questions each. Since each section carries an equal weightage, students should not leave any section and should work on all the aspects. There are a total of 150 questions to be solved within 120 minutes. Check the section-wise questions and time-limit in the table below. The time-limit analysis will help the students figure out how much time needs to be spent on each section. It may however be noted that the time-limit suggested here may not be relatable to all students. It can be changed as per the thinking and the speed of the student(s).

The MAT exam pattern has been slightly modified. The exam is conducted both online and offline and the total marks of the exam are 150. The exam has 150 questions to be solved in 120 mins.
