JEE Main 2025 Exam will be conducted from January 22 to 31, 2025. Candidates who registered themselves for the exam can download their JEE Main Admit Card from January 19, 2025. The NTA will conduct the exam across 284 cities across the country and the link to download the JEE Main city intimation slip will be released on the official website - jeemain.nta.nic.in. As per the official notice, JEE Main 2025 exam will be conducted in two sessions i.e. Session 1 from January 22 to 31, 2025 and Session 2 from April 1 to 8, 2025. 

JEE Main 2025 Session 2 registration is expected to start from February 1 to 28, 2025. Candidates who appeared in Session 1 exam can also register for session 2 given they will have to register for the JEE Main 2025 Session 2 exam separately. 

Candidates can check the JEE Main 2025 Syllabus PDF Download link on the official website. To prepare for the exam, they must also familiarize themselves with the JEE Main exam pattern. They must go through it at least once to be aware of the structure of the JEE Main question paper and marking scheme. The examination conducting body has revised the JEE Main 2025 exam pattern for Section B of Paper 2A and 2B. The JEE question paper will have 5 compulsory questions in the JEE paper section B. Interested candidates are advised to solve the JEE Main question paper with solutions to enhance their final jee main score in the exam. 

JEE Main 2025 registration for session 1 has been concluded successfully. The application process began from October 28, 2024 and the last date to fill the JEE Main application form was November 22, 2024. The NTA also opened the JEE Main correction window from November 26 to 27, 2024. Candidates who registered themselves for the exam could make corrections in their duly filled application form.

What is JEE Main?

The Joint Entrance Examination Main, also known as JEE Main is a national level engineering exam conducted for admission to B. Tech, B.E, B. Arch, and B. Plan programs offered by the top engineering colleges in India. Qualifying JEE Main Paper 1 will get students admission to B. Tech/B. E. programs offered by the NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs. The JEE Main 2025 paper 1 It is a computer based test conducted in online mode only. The National Testing Agency conducts the JEE Main exam every year for engineering aspirants. There are two sessions in which the exam is conducted. JEE Main exam session 1 is conducted in January while JEE Main exam session 2 is conducted in April.

JEE main 2025 Exam Paper 1 is conducted for admission to B. Tech/B.E. programs. The syllabus consists of topics from class 11 and 12 NCERT books of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

JEE Main Paper 2A and 2B are conducted for admission to B. Arch and B. Plan courses respectively. Paper 2A consists of questions from sections Mathematics, Aptitude Test, and Drawing while Paper 2B consists of questions from sections Mathematics, Aptitude Test, and Planning.

The top 2,50,000 scorers in the rank list of JEE Main 2025 are eligible to take the JEE Advanced Exam. It is the only gateway for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).

The NTA is expected to release the JEE Main 2025 Admit Card on January 19, 2025. As per the official announcement on JEE main website, the JEE Main hall ticket is scheduled to be out 3 days before the exam. Candidates with successful JEE Main registration can download the JEE Main admit card 2025 once it is out on the official website using their jee login. To download the admit card of JEE Main, candidates will have to enter their application number and date of birth as password. The direct link to download the JEE admit card will also be published here once it is activated at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The JEE Main hall ticket will consist of details such as candidate's name, photograph, signature, exam date and time, exam centre, and exam day instructions. 

JEE main admit card is an essential document that candidates must bring with them to the examination hall. Along with the hall ticket, they must also bring a valid photo ID proof. It must be noted that without the admit card, candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam centre. 

How to Download the JEE Main 2025 Admit Card?

Candidates must follow the steps to download the JEE Mains Admit Card:

  • Visit the JEE official website - jeemain.nta.nic.in.
  • Navigate to and click on the JEE Main 2025 Admit Card Download Link on the page. 
  • Log in using the JEE Main Application Number and Password (Date of Birth).
  • The screen will display the JEE Main hall ticket.
  • Download the admit card. 
  • Take a printout of the document for future reference.

Note* Candidates must ensure that the details mentioned on their JEE admit card are correct. In case of any discrepancy, candidates must immediately report it to the examination conducting authority and get these details rectified before appearing in the JEE Main 2025 Exam.

JEE Main 2025 Session 2 Application Form

The National Testing Agency will begin the JEE Main application process for session 2 from February 1, 2025. JEE Main 2025 Registration last date is expected to be February 28, 2025. The registration process will begin on the jee main official website - jeemain.nta.nic.in. The JEE Main 2025 Registration for January session is closed now. The registration window for JEE Main 2025 Session 1 remained open from October 28 to November 22, 2024. 

Once the JEE Main registration 2025 begins, interested candidates can visit the official website and fill the JEE Main form available. 

How to Fill the JEE Mains 2025 Application Form?

  • Visit the JEE official website - jeemain.nta.nic.in.
  • Navigate to and click on the “JEE Main 2025 Session 2 (April) Registration” link. 
  • Enter your basic details for JEE Main 2025 Registration.
  • Fill the JEE Application Form by entering personal and academic details.
  • Upload required documents i.e. passport sized photograph and signature.
  • Pay the JEE Main application fee using online payment mode.
  • Review the JEE Main 2025 form.
  • Review, submit the form, and download it. 
  • Take a printout of the same for future reference.

How to Make Changes in JEE Main 2025 Application Form?

The NTA opens the JEE Main application correction window after the successful conclusion of JEE Main registration. The JEE Main correction window for JEE Main 2025 exam is closed now. The application correction window was made available from November 26 to 27, 2024. The JEE Main correction window 2025 link was made available on the official website i.e. jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates who filled the form and wished to modify any details in their duly filled form could make corrections by logging into their accounts. There were only a few details that could be modified such as category, address, photograph, and signature.

Steps to Make Corrections in JEE Main Application Form 2025:

  • Visit the JEE Main official website - jeemain.nta.nic.in 2025.
  • Enter your login credentials i.e. JEE Main application number and password.
  • Click on the ‘JEE Main 2025 Application Correction' link.
  • The screen will display the JEE Main Application Form.
  • Choose the details that need to be changed, and make the required changes.
  • Click on the ‘Confirm and Save' button after the changes are made.

Candidates must download and take a printout of their modified JEE Main Application Form.

JEE Main 2025 Eligibility Criteria

The JEE Main 2025 Eligibility Criteria has been released on the official website - jeemain.nta.nic.in. Before applying for the JEE Main 2025 exam, the candidates must go through the eligibility criteria and check if they stand eligible for the exam. They can also check here the JEE Main 2025 Eligibility Criteria prescribed by the NTA. It is important to ensure their eligibility before filling out the JEE Main 2025 form or else there are chances that their candidature will be cancelled.

  • Candidates must have completed class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects.
  • There is no minimum age limit to apply for the exam as long as they fulfil the specified eligibility.
  • They can apply for the exam for three consecutive years from the class 12th passing year. 
  • It should be noted that there is no minimum marks for JEE Main eligibility to appear in the JEE Main 2025 exam but candidates must obtain at least 75% marks in class 12th to secure admission to the JEE Main Participating Institutes. For SC/ST candidates, the minimum qualifying marks is 65%.

Candidates who have passed class 12th in 2023, 2024 and appearing in 2025 board exams can apply for the JEE Main 2025 Exam.

What is the minimum age required for JEE Main 2025 Exam?

There is no minimum age limit to register for JEE Main exam. 

Is 75% required for JEE Main?

Candidates must secure 75% marks in aggregate as well as separately in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. (65% marks in aggregate for SC/ST candidates)

There is no minimum marks required for candidates to apply for JEE Main exam 2025 but they must secure at least 75% for admission to JEE Main accepting colleges.

JEE Main 2025 Exam Pattern

The NTA has introduced changes in the JEE main exam pattern in 2025. The revised exam pattern of JEE Main 2025 has already been released on the official website i.e. jeemain.nic.in.  As per the revised example the section B of paper one will have no optional questions. There used to be 10 questions in section B out of which students could attempt only 5 questions. The JEE Main new pattern 2025 states that there will be 5 compulsory numerical questions in section B and candidates will have to attempt all the questions.

The JEE Main 2025 exam will have 3 papers namely Paper 1, Paper 2A, and Paper 2B. Candidates seeking admission in B.E./B.Tech programs must appear in Paper 1. Paper 2A and Paper 2B are for B. JEE Main 2025 Marking Scheme

JEE Mains 2025 Mock Test

The National Testing Agency will activate the official JEE Mains 2025 Mock Test link on the official website of NTA - nta.nic.in. Candidates appearing in the JEE Main 2025 exam can practice the NTA JEE Main mock test online for free. The difficulty level of the mock tests available for practising is similar to the JEE Main exam. This can help students familiarize with the question paper structure of JEE Main, evaluate their performance in the exam and chances of admission to JEE Main participating institutes.

Candidates can also register and book the JEE Main mock test and go to the nearest Test Practice Centres to practice the test. It will also enable candidates to use the JEE Main virtual calculator.

National Test Abhyas App - The NTA has launched its National Test Abhyas App for JEE Main aspirants. The app is available in both Hindi and English languages. Candidates can download the National Test Abhyas App from the Google Playstore and start practicing the IIT JEE Main exam 2025 papers using daily tests uploaded. The National Testing Agency will also release the sample numerical questions of the JEE Main 2025 exam. Candidates can go through these papers to understand the structure of the JEE Main question paper.

JEE Main 2025 Answer Key

The NTA will release the preliminary answer key of JEE Main 2025 on the official website - jeemain.nta.nic.in. Once released, the candidates who appeared in the JEE Mains exam can use it to verify their answers and estimate their expected JEE Main score.  In order to download the JEE main answer game the candidates will have to visit the official website and log in.  They will have to enter their JEE Main application number and date of birth as password.  Besides, the examination conducting body will also release the JEE main response sheet along with the answer key.

How to Download the JEE Mains 2025 Answer Key?

Candidates taking the JEE Main 2025 exam can follow the steps mentioned below to download their JEE Main answer key:

  • Visitor JEE Main 2025 official website i.e. jeemain.nta.nic.in.
  • Navigate to and click on the JEE Main answer key download link.
  • Enter the JEE Main login credentials such as application number and date of birth as password.
  • Click on the ‘Login' button. 
  • The screen displays the answer key of JEE Main 2025. 
  • Match the IDs with the JEE Mains 2025 question paper provided on the candidate's login. 
  • Take a print out of it and calculate your expected JEE main score using JEE main response sheet 2025.

How to cross check JEE Main answer key with the questions?

The NTA will publish the answer key as well as the response sheet of JEE Main 2025 exam. The question ID is the number given to each question asked in the JEE mains question paper and the same ID is given in the candidate's response sheet. The candidates are required to match the answer option with the question id. 

The first step that candidates must do is download the JEE Main exam question paper. The NTA will release the question paper on the official website of JEE Main. After downloading the JEE main question paper, candidates will have all the question IDs with them. Then they must match the answers in the JEE Main provisional answer key 2025 with the question IDs in the question paper. 

In case of any discrepancy they must note the NTA JEE Main question ID and the answer ID to keep track of the same

JEE Main 2025 Answer Key Challenge

After the release of JEE mail 2025 answer key, the NTA will also open the objection window. This objection window will allow candidates to challenge the answers in the JEE Main 2025 provisional answer key. There will be a processing fee for each objection raised by the candidates and this fee will be refunded in case the challenge is found valid and accepted by the authorities. After considering the objections raised by the candidates and rectifying it, the NTA will release the final JEE main answer key 2025.

Candidates can follow the steps below to challenge their JEE Main 2025 answer key. 

  • Visit the official website of JEE Main i.e. jeemain.nic.in. 
  • Navigate to and click on the ‘Challenge JEE Main Answer Key' link available on the page. 
  • Go to the question to be challenged and click on the answer ID option which is correct. 
  • Save the option and pay INR 200 per question.

JEE Main 2025 Response Sheet

The NTA will release the JEE Mains 2025 response sheet along with the NTA JEE Main answer key. The response sheet consists of the options marked by a candidate in JEE Main 2025 question paper. The NTA JEE Main 2025 candidate response sheets will also allow candidates to go through their responses once again and raise any objections to the official answer key.

JEE Main 2025 Counselling Process

The JEE Main Counselling is conducted through the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). The JoSAA will release the JEE Main 2025 Counselling notification on the official website i.e. josaa.nic.in. Candidates who qualify the JEE Main exam 2025 will have to appear in the JoSAA counseling process. 

To appear in the JoSAA Counselling, the candidates must complete the JoSAA Counselling registration and choice filling process online. There will be five rounds in which the counselling will be conducted. The authorities will conduct the seat allotment process based on the number of students who applied for a course, the number of seats available for allotment, and the rank of the candidates in JEE Main 2025 exam.

The candidates must follow the below mentioned steps for the JEE Main 2025 counselling and choice filling process. 

  • Visit the JoSAA official website i.e. josaa.nic.in.
  • Click on the JoSAA Counselling registration link. 
  • On the candidate login page, enter your JEE Main 2025 login credential i.e. application number and password. 
  • Once registered, the candidates will be able to check their details on the screen. 
  • Preview the details mentioned and complete the initial registration process. 
  • After the JoSAA registration process is done, candidates will have to fill in the choices of colleges and courses according to their preference. 
  • The candidates are advised to fill as many choices as possible.
  • Once the choice filling process is completed, the candidates will have to lock their filled choices before the last date. 
  • The authorities will then release the JoSAA seat allotment result round wise on the official website.
