JEE Advanced 2025 Exam - IIT Kanpur has released JEE Advanced Date on the official website - jeeadv.ac.in. JEE Advanced 2025 is scheduled to be conducted on May 26, 2025 and JEE Advanced 2025 Registration will begin from April 27, 2025. The dates have been released to provide engineering aspirants with clarity on JEE Advanced 2025 schedule. The exam is conducted rigth after the successful conclusion of JEE Main Exam and declaration of JEE Main Result. The top 2,50,000 scorers of the exam are considered eligible for taking JEE Advanced. JEE Advanced 2025 will be conducted on May 26, 2025 in Coputer Based Mode. JEE Advanced 2025 Paper 1 will be conducted from 9 am to 12 noon and Paper 2 will be held from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. The information brochure has also been made available on the official website as well as this page for download.

JEE Advanced which was previously known as IIT JEE Exam, is the second phase of the IIT JEE Main. The exam is conducted after the successful conclusion of JEE Main 2025. It is an important exam for engineering aspirants seeking admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). It is an online computer based exam which is conducted on a rotational basis by seven IITs namely IIT Kharagpur, IIT Bombay, IIT Roorkee, IIT Madras, IIT Kanpur, IIT Delhi and IIT Guwahati.

IIT Kanpur will begin JEE Advanced Registration from April 27, 2025. The registration of the exam may get postponed depending on the JEE Main Exam Dates. JEE Advanced 2025 Exam will be conducted in online mode in English and Hindi medium. JEE Advanced Exam Duration is 3 hours for each paper. The examination conducting authority has not been fixed yet but we can expect IIT Guwahati to conduct the exam in 2025. IITs usually keep changing the type of questions every year.

What is JEE Advanced?

JEE Advanced 2025 is a national level entrance examination conducted by IITs in the rotation for admissions to Undergraduate, Integrated Post Graduate or Under Graduate-Post Graduate Dual Degree programmes offered in IITs (Indian Institute of Technology) and Indian School of Mines. Indian Institutes of Technology have been declared as the institutes of National Importance for imparting excellence in education for years. Presently there are twenty-three IITs across the country which focuses to create such an environment for its students which encourages their freedom of thoughts and inculcates necessary vision and self-discipline to attain excellence.

The exam is conducted by one of the seven participating IITs i.e. IIT Roorkee, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Bombay, IIT Hyderabad, and IIT Guwahati on a rotational basis for admission to B.E., B. Tech and B. Arch at 23 participating Indian Institutes of Technology.

JEE Advanced 2025 Exam consists of two papers i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2. Besides, the examination will be conducted in two sessions or shifts on the same day. It is imperative that all the students must appear in both the papers in order to be considered eligible for the merit list. Candidates will be shortlisted for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programs offered by the IITs based on their performance or rank secured by them in the JEE Advanced Examination.

JEE Advanced Eligibility

Candidates willing to appear in JEE Advanced 2025 Exam and seeking admission through it must ensure that they stand eligible as per the eligibility criteria defined by the conducting authority of JEE Advanced Examination. Eligibility criteria are the conditions that students must stand while appearing for the examination and the further admission process. Candidates willing to take the exam must secure at least 75% marks in 12th class barc exams or secure rank among the top 20 percentilers in the 12th class examination. This criterion has now been waived off by the examination conducting authority. Besides, candidates who are found ineligible will be considered disqualified for admission as per JEE Advanced Eligibility Criteria.

Candidates belonging to general category must have been born on or after 1st October 1997.

Candidates belonging to SC/ST or PwD category will have 5 years of age relaxation.

Qualifying Examination

Candidates who passed 12th class exam in 2023 or 2025 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics will be considered eligible.

Candidates who appeared in 12th class exam in 2022 or before that will not be considered eligible for JEE Advanced 2025 Exam.

If 12th class result for the year 2021-2022 was declared on or after 19th October 2022 then candidates who passed 12th class exam in 2022 will be considered eligible for the exam.

No. of Attempts

Candidates who stand eligible for the exam can appear in the exam at most two times that too in consecutive years.

JEE Main 2025 Score

Candidates must be amongst top 2,50,000 students (including all categories) in B. E./ B. Tech Paper.

IITs Earlier Admission

Candidates mustn't have been admitted to any of the IITs earlier irrespective of their decision of admission.

JEE Advanced AAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates willing to take JEE Advanced AAT 2025 must qualify JEE Advanced 2025 Exam and they must also secure the required cutoff marks to possess higher chances of admission.

JEE Advanced Registration

IIT Kanpur will begin JEE Advanced Registration from April 27, 2025 and the application window will continue to remain open till May 7, 2025. The JEE Advanced 2025 Registration Form will be made available on the official website i.e. jeeadv.ac.in. Interested candidates can visit the official website, fill the application form and submit the JEE Advanced Fees to appear in the exam.

  • Candidates must ensure that the details filled in by them are correct as any incorrect information entered by the candidates will lead to cancellation of their candidature.

How to Fill JEE Advanced Registration Form 2025?

Candidates must visit the official website and use their JEE Main 202 Application Number and Password to log in to their account.

Uploading of Documents

After the registration procedure is completed,candidates can move to upload the required document. They must scan the required documents and upload them as per the instructions mentioned by the authorities. The documents to be uploaded include 10th class certificate/ birth certificate, 12th class marksheet, and category certificate (if applicable).

Payment of JEE Advanced Registration Fees

After the uploading of documents, candidates must process the payment of application fee through any online payment gateway such as net banking, credit card, debit card. The application fee differs as per the candidate's category.

Submission of Application Form and Printout of Confirmation Page

Submit the application form and take a print out of the confirmation page for future reference.

JEE Advanced AAT Application Form

The application form for AAT 2025 will be made available on June 9 and 10, 2025. Candidates willing to take admission to Architecture program in IITs and appear in AAT 2025 must qualify JEE Advanced 2025. AAT 2025 Application Form will remain available for 2 days as per the notice released by the admission authorities.

How to Fill the JEE Advanced AAT 2025 Application Form?

  • Candidates can register using JEE Advanced 2025 Registration Number, Date of Birth, Mobile No., and Email Address.
  • There comes a question 'Are you interested in AAT 2025?' and candidates can choose 'Yes' or 'No' as per their preference.
  • Candidates can, then, select exam center according to their choice (there will be no international centers)

Important Points
