The IMU CET eligibility criteria states the basic requirements that the applicants must fulfill to sit for the IMU CET exam. The criteria incorporates age limit, nationality, minimum marks required in the qualifying exam, etc., and this varies from course to course. While some courses do not demand any age limit, there are also courses that demand a minimum age limit. For UG course that candidates must have completed their 10+2 standard from a recognized university with at least 50% marks, and for PG course they must have passed their graduation course.
Only those candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria for IMU CET will be eligible to go through the admission process. In case it is found that the applicant has presented false details their candidature will be cancelled on immediate basis and they will no longer be able to participate in any further process. Is there any age limit to apply for the IMU CET?
As such there is no age limit to apply for the exam, but for some courses, the Indian Maritime University does specify the maximum age limit criteria. Candidates are advised to check this criteria for the different courses and categories tabulated below.

For the under graduate courses the candidates must be 17 years old as of 1st August 2025. The maximum age limit for males and females for different categories has been tabulated below.

For SC/ ST/ OBC(NCL)/ PwD candidates, the minimum marks shall be 50% (or equivalent CGPA).
