The GUJCET Exam pattern is released by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) on their official website. The exam pattern includes details about the exam like the number of questions asked, total marks, exam duration, and the marking scheme. to perform and do well in the exam, it is crucial for the candidates to understand the exam pattern of GUJCET and prepare accordingly.

The GUJCET 2025 exam will have 120 MCQ questions, 40 each from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Each correct answer fetches 1 mark while for each incorrect answer there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks. The exam is conducted for a duration of 3 hours as an offline pen and paper-based test (PBT) across various exam centres. In this article, the candidates are advised to carefully check the GUJCET 2025 exam pattern and other important information related to the exam.

In addition to knowing the exam pattern, aspirants are also advised to carefully review the GUJCET exam syllabus and solve the previous year question papers of GUJCET to enhance the preparation.

GUJCET Exam Pattern Overview

As per the GUJCET exam pattern, the paper is conducted in parts - Paper 1 and Paper 2. The first paper is for Physics and Chemistry, and the second paper is for Mathematics and /or Biology. The students can choose from the combinations including - PCM, PCB, or PCMB. In case the students choose all 4 subjects, the total marks will be 160, and in cases of three subjects - the paper will be 120 marks. It must be noted here that Physics and Chemistry and mandatory subjects, and the choice is given between Maths and Biology.
