Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) is a national level entrance exam conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) every year as per the directions of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. GPAT Examination is scheduled for January month of every year. GPAT is conducted by AICTE every year for offering admissions to M.Pharm courses. The minimum requirement to fulfill GPAT Eligibility is a Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree for a duration of at least 4 years. 

Key Highlights:

  • The official notification of GPAT would be released by AICTE across all leading newspapers and official website aicte-gpat.in.
  • GPAT Application Procedure can be completed by filling and submitting the application form in an online mode.
  • Aspirants would be able to fill the GPAT Application Form until the third week of December.
  • GPAT Scores can also be used to avail scholarships and for the purpose of availing assistance.
  • The GPAT Admit Card would be released on the official website two weeks prior to the GPAT Examination.

GPAT is an entrance examination that would be held for a duration of 3 hours. The total marks that would be allotted for the exam would be 500. The questions would be appearing on the computer screen and multiple choice questions would be asked. The question paper of GPAT shall be published only in English. The test is usually conducted as per the guidelines issued by MHRD. GPAT Syllabus would be based on the undergraduate curriculum published and revised by the Pharmacy Council of India. Candidates can download the GPAT Scorecard and Merit List from the official website after the first week of February tentatively in the year 2020. There would be no centralized counseling held for GPAT and all successful candidates would be required to directly apply for getting admission to colleges that accept GPAT scores.
