CMAT 2017 Selection Procedure is discussed below:
The first phase of the selection procedure includes the CMAT exam.
CMAT is conducted in a window of 5 days in 2 slots each day.
The test is of 3 hours duration and consists of 4 sections, Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension and General Awareness.
The total number of questions to be answered is 100 and the total marks are 400.
Each section has 25 questions. The marking scheme of the exam is +4 for each correct answer and -1 for each wrong answer.
There are 4 options for each question among which the test takers have to choose only 1 correct option.
After the result is declared, the participating institutes will declare the shortlist of candidates on the basis of the cutoffs for the next round of CMAT 2017 Selection Procedure. This second step depends from B-School to B-School.
Generally, the candidates will have to participate in Group Discussion, Personal Interview and or Written Ability Test rounds. The B-schools will declare their final admission or selection list on the basis of the performance in CMAT, GD, PI, WAT and other factors decided by the B-schools.
