What is KCET Exam?

KCET full form is Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET). It is a stat level entrance examination which is also known as Karnataka CET and Kar CET. The examination is conducted under the direction of Karnataka University and administered by the Karnataka Examinations Authority, aka KEA. KCET Exam is the gateway to admission to engineering, pharmacy, architecture, ayurveda, homeopathy, and other degree programs offered by the colleges in Karnataka state. Candidates are required to qualify the KCET 2025 Exam in order to be eligible for admission to these colleges. KCET 2025 Application Fee

The application fee of KCET 2025 varies. For General and OBC category candidates, the KCET 2025 Application Fee is INR 500 while for Women, SC, and ST category candidates, the KCET Application Fee is INR 250.

  • Students must have completed the 12th grade, or its equivalent, from a reputable board or authority.
  • Those who will be taking the 12th grade may also apply.
  • Students must have received a passing grade in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology at the 12th grade level from a recognised board.
  • Students must have received a minimum of 45% in PCM or PCB subjects (or 40% for reserved categories) in order to qualify.
B. Pharmacy
  • Candidates must have completed class 12 from an accredited board with a minimum grade of 45 percent in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology. For the SC/ ST category, there is a 5% relaxation.
B.V.Sc &  A.H.
  • Candidates must have completed their 12th grade year with English and PCB passing with 50%. For the SC/ ST category, there is a 5% relaxation.
BDS
  • Candidates must have received a PCB grade in 12th grade with a minimum of 50%. English must be a required subject in the 12th grade. Additionally, applicants must have a current NEET scorecard.
MBBS
  • Candidates must have received a PCB grade in 12th grade with a minimum of 50%. English must be a required subject in the 12th grade. Additionally, applicants must have a current NEET scorecard.

KCET 2025 Admit Card

KEA will release KCET 2025 Admit Card on the official website i.e. cetonline.karnataka.nic.in. The candidates willing to appear in the exam must visit the official website and download their respective admit cards using their login credentials. KCET Admit Card 2025 will consist of information such as candidate's name, KCET application number, date of the examination, timing of the examination, and exam centre.

Candidates must carry their KCET 2025 Admit Card to the examination centre on the date of exam as they will not be allowed to enter the examination hall without it. They will not be permitted to take the examination. They must also carry an original photo identity proof and a blue/blak ballpoint pen along with the KCET Hall Ticket.

KCET Exam is conducted on 2 days. Day 1 is for Biology and Mathematics papers and Day 2 is for Physics and Chemistry papers. Candidates need to appear in respective papers based on their preference of professional degree.
