The National Testing Agency has released the official NEET UG Syllabus on the official website neet.nta.nic.in. The NEET syllabus 2025 is finalized by the Undergraduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB) of the National Medical Commission (NMC) and it covers three main subjects namely Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

The NEET syllabus 2025 PDF download link has been made available on the official website. The NTA has also released the NEET exam date 2025 and the NEET 2025 exam will be conducted on May 4, 2025. Candidates preparing for the NEET 2025 medical entrance exam can now download the NEET syllabus PDF to stay updated with the important chapters and topics asked for each subject in the NEET question paper.

The NEET 2025 syllabus consists of topics from class 11 and 12 syllabus only. These topics are NCERT based only.

NTA released the NEET application form 2025 on February 7, 2025 and the NEET registration 2025 last date is March 7, 2025. Interested candidates are advised to register themselves before the last date to apply for NEET 2025 exam. Candidates can click on the direct link given and register for the exam. NTA Released Final NEET 2025 Syllabus

The NTA has released the syllabus for NEET 2025 exam for students preparing for the exam. The syllabus of NEET exam has been approved by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare alongside the Ministry of Education. The Undergraduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB) under the National Medical Commission has finalized the syllabus and made it available on the NMC website - nmc.org.in as well as the NTA NEET portal - neet.nta.nic.in.

Is there any change in NEET syllabus 2025?

No. Candidates must know that there have not been any changes in the NEET UG 2025 syllabus when compared to the last year. Since the NEET syllabus 2024 underwent major changes, students can refer to the last year’s syllabus of NEET exam.

What are the changes in the NEET question paper 2025?

The NTA has announced a few changes in the exam structure of NEET 2025 exam. These changes have been mentioned below:

  • Removal of Section B (optional) from the NEET UG 2025 question paper. It consisted of optional questions and this section was introduced during the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Removal of section B has also reduced the total number of questions in the NEET 2025 exam. There will now be 180 questions only - 45 questions in Physics, 45 questions in Chemistry, and 90 questions in Biology and all the questions in the NEET question paper will be mandatory.
  • The total time of the NEET exam has been reduced to 3 hours (180 minutes). It was previously set to be 3 hours 20 minutes.

Besides, the official website of NEET i.e. neet.nta.nic.in will serve as a central platform for all the exam related activities such as NEET registration, NEET 2025 exam date, NEET admit card 2025 release, answer key, results, etc. Students are advised to keep a close watch on the website to stay updated of all the upcoming updates.

The NEET syllabus has been officially released at NEET website - neet.nta.nic.in. The National Testing Agency (NTA) released it through an official notice on December 30, 2024. It has also been released on the official website of NMC - nmc.org.in. Candidates may visit either website and download the syllabus PDF of NEET exam 2025. NEET Syllabus 2025 - Subject wise Breakdown

NEET exam is one of the toughest entrance exams and NEET aspirants ought to be aware of the NEET syllabus 2025 topic-wise. They must also be familiar with the number of questions in the NEET question paper, and the subject wise weightage in NEET exam pattern. The NEET 2025 syllabus comprises three main subjects namely Chemistry, Biology, and Physics. There are total 180 questions in the paper, 90 in Biology section, and 45 questions in Physics and Chemistry each.

  • Vernier calipers - it's used to measure the internal and external diameter and depth of a vessel.
  • Screw gauge - it's use to determine the thickness/diameter of thin sheet/wire.
  • Simple pendulum - dissipation of energy by plotting a graph between the square of amplitude and time.
  • Metre Scale - the mass of a given object by the principle of moments.
  • Young's modulus of elasticity of the material of a metallic wire.
  • Surface tension of water by capillary rise and effect of detergents.
  • Co-efficient of Viscosity of a given viscous liquid by measuring the terminal velocity of a given spherical body.
  • Speed of sound in air at room temperature using a resonance tube.
