The NTA has now opened the JEE Main 2025 Application correction window at jeemain.nta.nic.in. Students who filled the JEE Main application form can now make corrections in specific segments of the application form. NTA concluded the JEE Main 2025 Registration window successfully.The registration process began on October 28 and the last date to fill the JEE Main Application Form was November 22, 2024. Interested candidates who stood eligible could fill the JEE Main 2025 Application Form before the last date. Candidates were also required to pay the JEE Main Registration Fee till November 22 which was the last date to fill the jee main form.

JEE Main 2025 Session 1 will be conducted from January 22 to 31, 2025.

With new changes brought in JEE Main online application form, candidates can now apply for JEE Main Exam for both the sessions conducted in January and April. Candidates will also be allowed to process the payment of JEE Main application fee for both the sessions. In any case, students are not able to take either of the exams, the JEE Main Registration fees will be refunded to them. Students may apply for the refund by providing the required details.

JEE Main 2025 Application Process - How to Fill JEE Main 2025 Application Form?

A step by step guide has been mentioned below to understand the procedure of registration and help students get through this application process successfully. The registration process is completed in 4 steps mentioned below:

  • Registration
  • Filling of Application Form
  • Uploading of Documents
  • Payment of JEE Main Application Fee

Step 1 - JEE Main 2025 Registration

  • Candidates must visit the official website of JEE Main/NTA and navigate to the JEE Main Application Page.
  • Click on the tab “Apply for JEE Main 2025
  • Click on “Fresh Candidates Registration” tab on the redirected tab if you are applying for JEE main for the first time.
  • Click on the checkbox of “Proceed to Apply”

Candidates would be redirected to a page where they can fill the JEE Mains 2025 registration form available online. Candidates must register themselves for online application form. Right after the registration procedure completes, candidates would receive and application/registration number and password on their registered email id and mobile no. The JEE Main 2025 application number and password shared with candidates would later come in handy for other steps of application.

The JEE Mains 2025 registration form requires the following details that candidates must enter correctly:

  • Candidate's name
  • Mother's name
  • Father's name
  • Gender
  • Date of Birth

Candidates must provide their correct contact details such as email and mobile number they would be intimated on for further communication. These contact details include Address, City, Email Address, Pin Code, Mobile Number, etc.

After these details are filled, candidates must choose a password and a security question and confirm them at the end of the registration procedure.

Step 2 - Filling out JEE Main Application Form 2025

Post completion of registration procedure, candidates would be redirected to fill the application form for JEE Main 2022. Candidates have to log in by entering the JEE Main 2025 application number and password sent to them on their email registered during registration. Candidates must fill the below mentioned details correctly.

When these details are correctly filled by candidates, they must click on the checkbox of Declaration and proceed further to complete other steps of application form. And after reviewing the details filled in by them, submit the details by clicking on “Final Submit” tab.

Step 3 - Uploading Important Documents

Post successful completion of filling out the application form and verification of contact details, candidates will be allowed to upload the required documents. Click on “Upload Scanned Images” to upload the documents.

Note* Application forms with images that do not follow the instructions and format given above will be rejected. Candidates are also advised to keep more copies of uploaded photograph for future use such as seat allotment and admission.

Step 4 - Payment of JEE Main Registration Fees

This is the last step towards successful JEE Main Registration 2025. Candidates must process the payment while filling the JEE Main Application Form.  

JEE Main 2025 – Application Fee

The next step after uploading the documents is processing the payment of NTA JEE 2025 Application Fee. JEE Main Registration Fee can be paid through Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, UPI/PayTm, or E-challan. The application fee varies for each category of students.

Note* While processing the JEE Main 2025 Registration Fee, candidates would also have to process the pay service charges and GST with each transaction.

Note* If the payment is made by Money order, demand draft, and IPO, the application form will be rejected by the authority.

After Making the Payment:

  • After making the payment of JEE Main registration fee, candidates can print out the payment confirmation page.
  • In case the payment in not made properly or gets cancelled during transaction, the candidates would be advised to contact bank authority.
  • Candidates can also check the status of their payment on the official website of NTA or JEE Main i.e. jeemain.nta.nic.in and nta.nic.in.
  • The NTA JEE 2024 Application fee will not be refunded in case of any circumstances.

JEE Main Registration 2025 – Required Documents

While filling the application form, candidates would come across a few options which require some of the documents to complete the application procedure. Following are the documents one must keep ready before starting with the registration procedure:

  • Class 10th certificate
  • Class 12th marksheet
  • Scanned copy of passport sized photograph
  • Scanned copy of signature
  • Caste certificate of SC or ST (if required)
  • Domicile certificate
  • Passport

The requirement of documents is different for candidates belonging to outside India. The documents required by foreign candidates are given below:

  • Birth Certificate
  • 12th class marksheet with at least 75% marks in aggregate
  • A valid ID proof
  • Citizen certificate or Passport of parents

Important Instructions:

  • Candidates' photograph should be uploaded only in JPEG format.
  • The signature image uploaded by candidates should be of JPEG format.
  • Aadhar no./passport no./ration card no./bank account no. or any valid government id no. would be considered a valid id proof.

JEE Main Eligibility 2025

"Are you eligible for JEE Main 2025?"

Before applying for JEE Mains Exam 2025, candidates must check if they are eligible to apply for the exam by checking JEE Main Eligibility. Students of 12th class with Science stream are considered eligible for taking JEE Main 2025 for admission to B. Tech/B. E., B. Arch, or B. Planning courses. The online NTA JEE Mains 2025 Application form Dates consists of filling of JEE Main online application form, Uploading of required documents, payment of IIT JEE Main fee. Candidates who are able to complete their JEE Main Session 1 Registration and pay JEE Main application fee before the JEE Application Window closes, will be able to download their JEE Main Admit Card from jeemain.nta.nic.in.

There are four parameters based on which the eligibility or taking JEE Mains exam is defined and it is imperative for candidates to know if they are eligible to take JEE Main 2025 examination or not. Candidates can check these requirements before filling out the JEE Main Registration Form 2025. JEE Main Eligibility would remain the same for exam conducted in both the sessions i.e. June and July.

Following are the requirements one must follow to take JEE Main 2025:

Educational qualification

  • B. Planning – Candidates must score 50% marks in Mathematics and 50% marks in aggregate in 12th class or qualifying examination.
  • B. E/B. Tech – Candidates must pass 12th class with Physics and Mathematics as main subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biology.
  • B. Arch – Candidates must pass qualifying examination with Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics as main subjects.

Number of attempts

  • Candidates can take the exam for 3 years consecutively.
  • Candidates can appear in both the sessions when the exam is conducted twice a year.
  • Sitting through the exam in the same year would be taken as one attempt.

Age limit

  • There is no such age limit defined by NTA for taking JEE Mains Exam.
  • Candidates who completed their 12th class in 20232024, and appearing in 2025 exams would be eligible to take JEE Mains irrespective of their ages.

Year of appearing

  • Candidates who completed their 12th class in 20232024, and appearing in 2025 exams would be eligible to take JEE Main.
  • Candidates who completed their school in 2022 and would be completing in 2026 are not considered eligible.

What is New in JEE Main 2025 Registration?

As per the official notice released by the NTA, students will not be able to register through Digi Locker/ABC ID/ Passport No./ PAN/ Aadhaar No. NTA has discontinued this facility for JEE Main 2025. Previously, the candidates were supposed to select their preferred mode of registration before they began filling the JEE Main application form. Also, the candidates need to select options for authentication at the examination centre. 

  • Authenticate through Aadhaar card
  • Authenticate through Valid Government ID with a Photograph

Note* The choice of exam cities for the JEE Main 2025 Exam will be displayed to the candidates based on the permanent address filled by them while filling the JEE Main Application Form. 

Note* In case a candidate is not able to present a category certificate (Gen-EWS/OBC-NCL/PwD/SC/ST), he/she will have to upload the “Self Declaration/Undertaking” form in the specified format given in the information brochure.

How to Check the JEE Main 2025 Application Form Status?

Once the jee main form is filled and successfully submitted, candidates will be able to check the status of their application form of JEE Main 2025. Below are the steps mentioned to check the application status:

  • Visit the jee main official website - jeemain.nta.nic.in.
  • Click on the “Registered Candidate Login” link.
  • Log into your account by entering the jee main application number and password. 
  • The screen displays JEE Main Application status.

JEE Main 2025 Application Form Correction Window

The National Testing Agency (NTA) opens application correction window right after the application procedure is concluded and the window remains open for almost 4-5 days. Here, candidates will be allowed to make changes in their preferences of JEE Main Exam Centres choices for the coming sessions.

JEE Main 2025 – Medium of Question Paper
