IBSAT is an online exam conducted by the ICFAI Business School every year for admission to MBA/PGDM programs in one of the 9 IBS Institutes. IBSAT Registration Process

To fill out the IBSAT Application Form and complete the registration, candidates must follow the below step-by-step process. Candidates need to pay a fee of INR 1800 to finish the IBSAT registration. Those who do not make the payment, their application is considered incomplete and they won't be able to appear for the exam.

Step 1: Visit the official website of IBSAT

As a first step, the candidates need to visit the official exam website - general.ibs.india.org. Students can also click on the direct link on this page to fill the IBSAT Registration Form. Candidates can also fill out the application form offline.

Step 2: Fill out the Details

As the second step, candidates need to register for the exam by filling out the application or registration form. The following details should be filled in the IBSAT Application Form.

Step 3: Pay the IBSAT Application Fees

Steps to Book the IBSAT Exam 2024 Slot

Before obtaining the IBSAT Admit Card, the candidates should book their exam slot. It must be booked timely to get the preferred slot and not be left out. The Steps to Book a Slot for the IBSAT Exam 2024 are listed below.

  • On the login page, enter your Application Number, Date of Birth, and the Captcha code

  • Number of Answer Options: 5
  • Section Split: Only Exam with Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension with separate sections
  • Maximum Weightage Section: Verbal Ability with 50 MCQs, all others have 30 MCQs each

There are usually 3 RC passages of about 500-600 words and 1 RC Passage of about 400-500 words followed by 8 and 6 questions respectively. Most questions are directly related to the RC passages and answers to them can be easily located in the RC passage itself

Preparing for the IBSAT Exam can be overwhelming for candidates because of the vast syllabus and the vast topics covered under each section. Candidates can complete the IBSAT preparation in 6-8 months easily if they have a proper strategy chalked out. Below are a few key tips to help the candidates prepare for the exam.

IBSAT Result

The IBSAT 2024 result is expected to release in the first week of January 2025 on the official website of the exam. The result is declared by the ICFAI Foundation of Higher Education (IFHE), and the result cum scorecard can be downloaded by using the hall ticket number, registration number, and the Date of Birth. Based on this result, the candidates will be called for the further rounds of selection depending on the IBSAT Cutoff.

Based on the performance in the exam, the shortlisted candidates will appear for the Micro presentation and the Personal Interview Rounds conducted by IBS for its eight campuses.

IBSAT Cutoff

The IBSAT Cutoff is released after the IBSAT results have been declared. IBSAT Cutoff refers to the minimum marks that a candidate needs to score to be able to participate in the further rounds of selection. Each IBS campus releases its own cutoff, and the candidates who will clear this cutoff will be called for the further rounds of selection at the different IBS campuses.

IBSAT Selection Process

The IBSAT Selection Process for the IBS MBA/PGPM program includes a Micro-Presentation and Personal Interview

Micro-Presentation in Selection process is a brief talk or presentation where candidates demonstrate their communication, presentation skills, and ability to think quickly on their feet. Candidates have the opportunity to select one topic out of three. The format allows for 4 minutes in total: 1 minute for preparation and 3 minutes for delivering the presentation.

The Personal Interview is an important part of the Selection Process. Each candidate will be interviewed for 5-7 minutes. The interview panel will focus on assessing the attitude and aspirations of the candidates besides evaluating their General Knowledge, communication skills, clarity of thought and expression, as well as aptitude for a career in management.

IBSAT Mock Tests are a great way too boost the preparation. They help you in understanding the exam pattern, section carrying the most weightage, and also the number and kind of questions asked in each exam. Candidates should solve as many mock tests as possible, and also score those mock tests as pert he IBSAT marking scheme.
