The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has announced the Karnataka Common Entrance Test – KCET exam dates 2025 on their official website – cetonline.karnataka.gov.in. What is the KCET Exam?

Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) is a state-level entrance examination which is also known as Karnataka CET and Kar CET. The examination is conducted under the direction of Karnataka University and administered by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). KCET Exam is the gateway of admission to engineering, pharmacy, architecture, Ayurveda, homeopathy, and other degree programs offered by the colleges in Karnataka.

Candidates are required to qualify the KCET 2025 Exam to be eligible for admission to these colleges. Besides, candidates who wish to take admission in Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Unani, or Homeopathy programs must qualify the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), whereas those seeking admission to Architecture programs must qualify JEE Main 2025 Paper 2 or NATA exams to be eligible for KCET Counselling.

  • Nationality – The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
  • Appearing Candidate – Students who are in their final year of qualifying examination are also considered eligible to take the exam provided they must present the qualifying examination passing evidence at the time of admission.

BE/B. Tech 

Candidates should be a pass in 2nd PUC / Class 12 / equivalent exam with English as one of the Languages and obtained a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Electronics / Computer (40% for reserved category) 

Farm Science courses means, BSc (Hons) Agriculture, BSc (Hons) Sericulture, BSc (Hons) Horticulture, BSc (Hons) Forestry, BTech Biotechnology, BSc (Hons) Community Science, BTech (Agril. Engg), BTech (Food Technology), B. Tech (Dairy Technology), BFSc (Fisheries), BSc (Hons) Ag. Maco. 

Candidates should have passed 2nd PUC / Class 12 / equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology as optional subjects. 

Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (BVSc & AH) 

Candidates should pass 2nd PUC / Class 12 and obtain a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subjects (40% for reserved category). 

B. Pharma 

  • Passed in 2nd PUC / Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and obtained minimum 45% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology subjects. (40% for reserved category candidates) or 
  • Passed in Diploma in Pharmacy from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India Under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act and has secured minimum of 45% marks. (40% for reserved category candidates) 

2nd Year B. Pharma 

Candidates should have passed Diploma in Pharmacy examination from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India Under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act and have secured minimum of 45% marks. (40% for reserved category candidates) 

D. Pharma 

  • Candidates should pass 2nd PUC / Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics OR 
  • Passed in Diploma in Pharmacy examination from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India Under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act. 

Naturopathy & Yoga 

Candidates should have passed the qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects and English as one of the languages of study and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects in the qualifying examination is eligible for admission to Naturopathy & Yoga courses (40% for reserved category candidates). 

KCET Registration

Karnataka Examination Authority will release the KCET 2025 Application Form on the official website i.e. kea.kar.nic.in. The KCET 2025 Application Process consists of a few steps such as registration, filling of application form, payment of application fee, and uploading of important documents. The last step to application is the submission of all the details filled in by the candidates. Candidates are advised to ensure that they fill the KCET application form 2025 correctly as any incorrect information provided by them will lead to cancellation of their candidature. Candidates must carry their KCET 2025 Admit Card to the examination centre on the date of exam as they will not be allowed to enter the examination hall without it. At first, the examination conducting body will release the provisional answer key of KCET 2025. After this, KEA will release the final answer key of KCET 2025. The KCET Answer Key 2025 will consist of details such as correct answers to the questions asked in the examination and the options marked by candidates in their question paper. Candidates who take KCET 2025 will be able to predict their expected score using this answer key.

The examination conducting authority will also allow candidates to raise objections (if there are any) in their respective KCET Answer Key. After all the objections raised by candidates have been reviewed by the experts, a final answer key of KCET 2025 will be released along with KCET 2025 Result.

KCET 2025 Result

KCET 2025 Result will be released in online mode on the official website. Candidates who took the exam will be able to check KCET Result 2025 through online mode only. In order to check KCET Result 2025, candidates will have to log in to their account using their KCET Login credentials. Candidates must note that KEA will not share the result through email, text, or post. Candidates with a valid and qualifying score in the examination will later be intimated to appear in the KCET Counselling.

Karnataka Examination Authority will begin the KCET 2025 Counselling process online on the official website of KCET. Candidates who qualify the examination will be considered eligible to be a part of the KCET Counselling Process. Candidates must, first, complete KCET Counselling Registration 2025. After the registration is done successfully, candidates will have to make choices of colleges and courses. After the successful conclusion of KCET Choice Filling, KEA will release the KCET Mock Seat Allotment on the official website.

Candidates will also be allowed to make changes in their choices after the declaration KCET Mock Seat Allotment Result. KEA will release the KCET 2025 Seat Allotment on the official website only.
